You thought IL2 was bad.. SB2

I just flew my 109E Prem shot an sb2 Soviet bomber, it took 3 or 4 passes, I was so literally sitting on its tail for a good few mins, another Soviet flying tank.

@Shiivex hi mate, can you confirm if what I say is correct? I know you are good flyer, please test mg cannons on 109pr and F1, is Prem bugged, F1 faster I know that…

I have not tested it, but maybe the 109 is bugged, I’ll try F1 and revert back, but that bomber can sure take a lot of hits, to wing, bomb bay, cockpit, engines everywhere…

By the way IL2 is the best plane around.
Roquet, bombs, 20mm, armor.

I’ll see latter tonight.

From what I tested so far, cannons seem better (but diff plane.), but F1 flight model OMG, any high speed and you will very easily not be able to pull up (faster than premium), no SB2 to fight against yet though in F1…

the 20 mm’s on the Emil is quite far out on the wings so you might have been hitting the sb-2m’s wings and not anything vital

Ah that could be a factor, but I was hitting , engines, wings, fuselage, bomb carriage (I heard things breaking) bit it still flew, for at least a few mins, three attack runs, literally point blank too!

SB2 ive never had problem with shooting down but it does take a chunk of damage for sure which it should being that big ^^ In other words that one feels more right and easier compared to IL2s super man armor (at times, not always when it comes to IL2 armor which is weird)

Both engines smoking, breaking stuff and it still flew, any tips welcomed!

I think I prefer Prem, flight model on F1 is tricky, you have to fly with Combat flaps constantly to get lift, throttle at 90, but if you go for attack run, very hard to pull up?!?

i havent really met enough of them ingame to be completely sure.

but i can say that while flying one myself i pulled off 4 runs while being fired upon lol. so it is quite tanky

i actually saved the picture of the still fully operational sb-2m, turning and climbing fine at 300 TAS (maybe 250, it was a while ago)

(but you should still consider the 20’s on the Emil just in general. it is easy to miss with them and hit with the mgs)

Dont push it to much to loose energy. Come in gliding and make an hard hit then just pull up in force and do an side loop to regain the tail if youre struggling. Usually gliding behind an SB2 is not that hard but they can be slow at times for sure and make you struggle to keep up which is weird at times ik. 90% sounds a bit to fast though for an BF towards that plane…i usually glide in on 60 but that depends though ofc on the approach as how much “energy” you have as well as how the SB pilot is flying ^^

On those i always go for the engines hard since they can be easily be put on fire

Just by chance I played a match on Moscow and had an SB2 in air, I used a mix from quite far out, but finished it off with mgs not cannons quite quickly, oh that was with F1, upgraded it to 4 star now.

Maybe it’s player lag, as that was one pass, no cockpit, could barely see as it was going back to rearm, just throttled up caught up (not even close) , let rip and in flames lovely!

Still I am going to upgrade this F1 and once 5star will decide if using Emil again, I mean we all need XP

I personally use the Emil for the ammo, since it has double that of the f1. But the F1 is also pretty solid with all the guns in the nose, so i guess it comes down to preferance

But not as fast as F1, but XP gain is a pro

All of the planes in Enlisted are still too tanky, I’ve been flying the FW 190 in Normandy and even sustained bursts landing on point-blank targets still leaves them intact. Either something is wrong with the hit detection or planes are using some damage model that is buffed even further than in Arcade. If we’re stuck with Realistic FMs, give us realistic DMs.

No plane in Normandy is tanky enough for Bf-110 with 37mm and 2x30mm :skull:
