Tank camo is entirely broken if you pick Africa squads, you cannot make people buy camos just to have properly themed base camo for the map they are on, and in general you can no longer guarantee you will play in Tunisia. I have been having a hell of a time just getting the queue to place me there and it is a MAJOR bummer for me. I was very excited for this update but there needs to be an added layer of matchmaking. Depending on your squad preset you should be filtered in to different maps. If you are pure African squads it should guarantee African maps, if you are full Normandy squads it should guarantee Normandy, etc. If you have a mix of squads from each, it should then place you in a random of the two or something similar. This is NECESSARY.
OR you at least provide automatic camo switching on tanks and planes to match the maps.
Of course IDEALLY they let us pick maps ourselves, but I doubt that will ever happen. I think the best outcome possible would be to literally go back to choosing your theatre of war which could basically be map selection, and then just keep the new unlock system. The current format has obviously been chosen intentionally to improve matchmaking, etc, but I do not think it is benefitting the game. Being able to play in different theatres with different suites of gear was a MAJOR part of the appeal to this game and something has to be done to restore that functionality. The unlocks being like this are much better(even if I feel the exp needed is a bit excessive), but the lack of map control is making me click quit and play war thunder(I frequently play both) when I otherwise would not have and that is a sign that something is wrong.
