I think that the fg-42 should be like a weapon for the elite like it will cost like 10 silver orders. And if you dont like that idea then heres another way. I think that the fg-42 was given to paratroopers so not much were made. So I think that you should only be able to have it in the one squad you unlock it in. I dont really agree with it being in the gunner class as Forgoten Weopons said that it was an infantry rifle capable of supressing fire. Or something like that. fg42 as the description says is an lmg so it should only be used by gunners, like the browning A1 / 2 which is the equivalent in performance of the fg42 for the united states, and which is only used by gunners

yeah but i dont think that the german military concidered it to be an mg but idk im not a historian im just 13 so they didnt even teach about the european side of the war.

it is all connected it is just another way to kill someone having a p-47 on you squad will help your team tremendously as so the fg-42.

Is game balance not historical accuracy, it could also be made that the fg42 was used only by gunners and normal infantry were allowed to use the
We already have the mas36 (French) in the armory, and it would bee perfect to counter the m2 carbine, without unbalancing the game

no I do not think that the game can not be completely balanced with being historically accurate or vice versa. I mean you are able to have italian weapons in invasion of normandy and I dont think that there was any. like the bredamod.30, I doubt there was any of those even in the whole atlantic defence that the germans had. or a better example would be like the breda m1918 or the breda m38 why are they there probably to balance the thompson.

A 10 round magazine did exist for the FG42. Give the 10 round version to troopers and such and the 20 round to assaulters or gunners

Mas 36 vs m2 carbine? M2 is way better tbh I kind of like it its a bit hard to controll the recoil but you get used to it you can learn from the AI that they are not holding down the trigger they are doing short burst of like 2 to 3 shots and thats enough to kill someone from 100meters. But the m2 is not the best but is okay i dont see why every one hates it. But I must say it is overpriced for what it is.

is beretta no breda, then the Germans used them because Italian smg was superior to theirs especially the beretta M38 (the fnab, is Italian), the Germans also adopted the P40 an Italian tank, equivalent to their phanter, so this is historically correct , as well as the French weapons used in Normandy (vichy france tells you nothing) the only things not historically correct in the campaign are the jumbo and the spam do fg42, which are also the main reasons why the campaign is so criticized
