Sorry for writing about this, but I’m frustrated once again.
Why don’t we have shoulder tabs, specialist badges, awards and helmet insignia fitting the soldier and squad (division and not campaign). I know it’s hard to make, but some of the things have been in game, before getting cut off. It’s a nice detail and adds HA to the game. You can censor swastikas with balkenkreuz (witch the developers have used already).
Customizations (since the merge) can be divided into 3 categories (for the climate/season) because the campaigns are now just map packs:
-Temperate, spring
-Temperate, autumn/winter
-Tropical
Customizing should be entirely free, who cares what are your soldiers wearing in a warzone, it’s not like it’s a parade dress on top of this helmets in general don’t offer real protection to bullets. AND WHY ARE THERE DIFFERENT ORDERS FOR ALMOST EVERYTHING, I HAVE 30 SOLDIER RENAME ORDERS WHOM I WON’T USE AND I EVEN CAN’T SELL THEM.
I respect the sentiment and desire of the players who dedicate time (and maybe money too) and find fun in customizing uniforms.
I have been playing Enlisted for 3 years and I have never customized any of the soldiers’ uniforms, since I can only play for a while on the weekends and the game is already complicated enough without spending time on the uniforms.
If all the uniforms contained all the details that several are asking for in the forum, I would not want that to impact the requirements of the game and in my particular case, I do not pay attention to any detail of the uniforms, because when I kill an enemy from from a distance, I barely see the color of their faces and when I kill them up close, in the 5 seconds that the confrontation lasts, I don’t stop to look at the insignia on their uniform.
I think these details are very little relevant in an FPS game like Enlisted
But, I also consider that the game has several things to improve that in my opinion are more important (such as the issue of Balance between teams and the mach making with the current BRs), because if the players leave and the new ones uninstall the game after few minutes, there will be very few left to see beautiful uniforms.
It’s all well and good, but at the front no one ran in full dress uniform, only field uniform, and all distinctions looked different on field uniforms than on full dress uniforms.
