Wow, talk about non noob friendly plane, spawns in at approx 350 TAS, if you dive to enemy flag, compression kicks in 450ish, you can not pull up, in fact unless you do a loop immediately you spawn in, it is very difficult to attack ground as your speed is constantly above 400, close to compression limits!
Any tips on how to fly this plane, slow it down, other than reduce throttle would be welcomed!
Biggest downside for me is its small amount of ammo.
Yak is a fighter, why are you dive bombing the objective
Erm no other CAS and there are tanks, what should I do? Plus it has bombs
If you’re in a fighter make shallow to slightly steep attacks on ground targets, you shouldn’t be dive bombing as you’re describing
I’m not dive bombing, on spawn I either pull a hard left or right turn or loop to get aligned, bleed off some speed, then come in at around -20 degrees shalllow dive, if you drop bombs with little or no angle it is harder to judge where to drop bombs…
You get the P-40 and forget this plane was ever in the game.
