Would you like to see the China theater in the game?

I mean, not many games contain these campaigns that happened before ww2 (and some during ww2)
for examples:

The Battle of Shanghai: China - Japan 1937
Feature early tanks(tankettes) and planes
such as 6 tonnes Vickers for the Chinese, Type 94 tankette for the Japanese (Or Type 89 I-Go?)

As for Infantry
The Chinese used German guns such as Gewehr 88 or Gewehr 98, as well as something like a ZB26 MG
The Japanese I am not sure, but wiki says MP18/28 SMGs

The maps can be very interesting too
Cities inside the Shanghai urban area, and the rural areas outside
maybe also the famous Defense of Sihang Warehouse

The Battle of Hong Kong: Britain - Japan 1941
Infantry-only campaign for the game?
No tanks actually joined the battle, and the British didn’t have good planes in HK, no plane spam anymore )))

Maps should be interesting as well.
The defence line up in the New Territories, which lead to mountain and hill battles
The battles inside urban areas of Kowloon, and maybe even the landing of the Hong Kong Island

maybe also others but I am not sure
also balancing these WILL be very pain, might be shit ideas too lol

I can already hear the “Nanjing map is one-sided, WTF??? Nerf Japanese!”.
I like the idea, though, that part of the WWII is often overlooked, as is the Halkin-Gol, the Kwantung army., etc.

yeah
the history is a bit too dark for some I guess
also, I worried about Nanjing as the Japanese did something there

Meh, the more the merrier, this game depicts actual combat rather than extermination, death camps and all that stuff, so I think the fact that it’s “dark” shouldn’t be a factor (I mean, nazi Germany was “dark” too).
I like the idea of introducing other factions.

I think every nation they add needs to have a good amount of unique equipment. WW2 China has remarkably little to offer in that regard outside of some hand-made weapons. The Wausers, yes.

Time and again people mention the same things: 1) But it would be unique because no one else ever did it. Yes, and there’s a good reason for that. 2) China is a huge market and we’ll attract them all by implementing a Chinese campaign. Yes, China is a huge market. However, WW2 is hardly a proud moment for them and recent history is a minefield when it comes to China. A wrong step and your game will be scorned or outright banned.

I can hear "nerf japanese to op " in hong kong
Now beign serius the battle of shangai or bejing if chinise front beign added have 100% of probability of beign added.
For hong kong battle meh, the game now is totally oriented for combined arms battle, is sufficient watch normandy d-day when historically, germans dont have plane but in game is possible use them, if the game change and add battle when is possible use only infantry, tanks, plane (maybe ship) its ok hong kong is possible and i want to play a battle like this.

damn, 6 months?

welcome back i suppose.

either way, agreed. we should, and could see china theater in the game.

but, i feel like should be allies againt axis,
like, there are many battles that the british fought against the japanese.

but this is just my personal opinion.

nontheless, an interestring asian front could be interestring.

But, if one side isn’t Germany, is it really an Enlisted campaign?

Could be… But there’s so many MUCH more interesting war theaters that have many new things to offer than this one.
The winter war is highly requested by the general community since quite some time for example.

The Russo/Japanese one is also very interesting to me, as both sides really had good fighting capacities (the chinese vs Japanese, not so much, unless we add the Brits in the lot)
I feel like the Japanese vs chinese war theater would be very akin to a Germany vs Poland war… It was a bit unequal.
Heck, I’d even be more interested in the French/Brits vs Germany culminating at Dunkirk theater more at this point, for the novelty of it (even if it ended quickly) Also because those funny looking blue French vehicles look interesting and I’ve never seen them in such a game before.

As a Chinese, we should know most games that’s related to modern China military, can be not only banned, but also get servers blocked via GFW. Also a total bans for game related content across social media. GOV is just over sensitive towards this kind of stuffs.
Just let Enlisted be niche game in China. Or we will get into trouble.

Like the Winnie depooh story :smirk:
You are all rigth man in balck dont capture you?

Not really, no. Pacific theatre, North African campaign, Italy invasion. Would be on my bucket list before scrapping for ideas out of the Chinese massacre.

The Sino-Japanese war is seriously underrepresented in western media. It was massively important and it would make for a great campaign. You could set it either in one of the large coastal cities or in the mountainous hinterland. I’d prefer the latter, because it would provide different gameplay from what we already have.
Chinese airforce would have to be supplemented with American or Soviet planes and pilots, as was done historically. Both sides had crappy tanks, so that could also be interesting.

Pacific theatre is boring by comparison and I certainly don’t want any jungle warfare until bots have gotten a serious rework (which I imagine is still gonna take a while). Of course there was also urban warfare like the battle of Manila, but we already have urban warfare.

If we can’t have the Sino-Japanese war for political reasons, at least give us the battle of Khalkhin Gol.

An infantry only campaign would be a breath of fresh air from the bomb spam so I’d gladly take a HK campaign just for that.

Battle of France would definitely be interesting. Would preferably be Germany vs France since we already get the Brits for Tunisia.

Sino-Japanese campaign definitely needs to happen.
