Since ever other class except bomber and mortar have a premium squad, what would they be like?
Would it be 5 mortarmen with a single engineer? I think that set up would allow for the same amount of ordinance as a regular squad, but with a lot more smoke rounds.
Not saying a premium mortar squad would be good, more so goofy. Would probably be best to have 2 engineers? Well, it would be way better than a regular mortar squad if they could have a radio man and 2 engineers with two mortar men.
4 mortarmen + 1 engineer with optimal perks for this class.
In fact - nothing better than fully upgraded regular mortarman squad, but provides +100 % exp bonus.
The weapon could be M2 mortar for those who have not unlocked it.
Premium Mortars would be the “non-standard” or just unique or special mortars of their factions. For example, in game we have Light and Medium mortars, and I’ve suggested Heavy Mortars as an Engineer construct
The Kz 8cm Granatwerfer 42 that we have in game would’ve been an ideal example of a Premium Mortar because it was a shorter variant of Germany’s standard mortar, therefore it’s a little unique. Like I’ve said I think they should replace this mortar with Germany’s standard mortar as the game unlock
Of coarse, there would be little difference with say a Special Mortar and a regular unlock one, but hey more toys for the game better. It’s like a regular and Premium gun are both guns at the end of the day
On the other hand, I’m sure eventually we will get half tracks and motorized vehicles in general and some variants were mortar carriers and I’m sure we could end up with some Premiums
I can’t even imagine the amount of poop that would start flying in this forum, should a premium squad able to spam 80-100 or so mortar shells ever actually became a thing.
I don´t remember people doing it that much before the mortar nerfs and back then you could actually rain down a firestorm down proper I tell you.
A regular squad can already “spam” 180 or more HE shells - why would a regular one shooting 100 be a problem?
Other than you could have 2 mortar squads in your line up therefore rotate into them more often.
Well, the US would get the M2 100mm mortar for sure…
Pretty much every nation had a 100mm, 105mm, 107mm or 4.2" mortar.
