For me personally, I find Allies tier 5 to be the most chaotic, sweaty and fun so far, as long as the teams are balanced and battles do last for around 25 to 30 mins at least.
When it comes to tier 2, I had overall good balance with both Soviets and the Axis, the matches are competitive and more balanced than not, but still sometimes the teams can be very unequal.
I haven’t touched tier 3, and I still haven’t played tier 5 Soviets and Axis, so I still need to check that out as Berlin was my go to campaign and those matches were very competitive when both teams had human players.
Had some crazy BR2 matches for all sides, won and lost by tiniest of margins. Some confrontation matches were outright insane, both teams with no tickets left and only few troopers alive fighting over the last cap.
Winning a match as BR2 US vs full BR5 germany stack also felt amazing, if extremely frustrating at times. Some moderately uptiered matches can feel real good.
BR3-4 can feel nice, but downtiers feel awful usually (just curbstomping helpless victims) and BR5 is a bit too much of run and gun endless nade spam/trucking bombs to kill off the tigor spam. Or you get downtiered again and are just curbstomping again
For some reason whenever I play with the Axis in tier 5 it is always a steamroll, but when I switch and play Ussr or Allies in the same tier the games are more balanced, but yeah, Axis seem like a faction with more players at the moment so maybe this is why they have an advantage.
Still haven’t tried tier 3, but I have played tier 5 more recently, and is it mostly very fast paced and dynamic. If the matchmaking becomes more balanced in the future, I think that I will make regular switches between 2 and 5, as the 2 is more chill and sometimes it is good to chill from tier 5 madness lmao
