Maybe buildable platforms for snipers or sniper towers for better elevation

True but then they’ll have to add it now thanks to paratroopers they can do everything that the sniper squad can and probably even better
It would be pretty nice if they upgraded structures which can sniper squad build.
Just because it hasn’t been added doesn’t mean it never will be. Yeah maybe the devs don’t think it’s a good idea. Or it could be just another bullet point of content they could add in the future one day
I would love to get the snipers. But as long as the killcam is active, it makes no sense. No Japanese Gilli will help either. I won’t talk about the price here now. For me, the whole thing is a NO GO.

I don´t think it would make sense in general because… I don´t know a sniper tower would just stand out? If you got killed by a sniper rifle you can look for sniper towers or bait the sniper into missing and finding it out that way.
I usually play sniper by hiding in bushes or trying to expose myself as little as possible and only try to shoot AI. I mean if you shoot a player you shouldn´t be suprised that he just switched to a bot and instantly killed you. I punish a lot of snipers that way.

Then you never played against good players lol. Rooftops are very good but still leave you exposed when shot from every angle except the front most of the time. You can also climb them by just using the jump perk. You could probably build an ammo crate and jump on a rooftop from there.
so let me remind you that in the pacific the japanese literally tied themselves to the trees with quite impressive camouflage and i am not going to share some of the photos i have found because of the high degree of violence i have seen but believe me this is something that should be possible, if in the battle of moscow on the map of the monastery there are small sniper posts, why not in Pacific? (I will share a drawing instead)

Immobile snipers pertched on treetops are just asking to be quashed by arty, tanks and planes. Those pre-ordering ppl will hate this for sure

You have no idea how valuable the high ground is and the only reason I could think you don’t want it is because it will stop you from pushing forward if this were to happen it would hurt the people who like fast-paced gameplay
Ok and? Just because it was a thing irl doesn´t mean it makes sense to put in an FPS. Tank destroyers where pretty good irl but suck in the game more often than not. How about you people just learn to play sniper correctly instead of being dead weight for your team?

Seriously tho, can you count how many times do you see enemy snipers actually camping from on top of existing towers?
That’s quite rare in my experience, and the reason is because those who do, usually get annihilated after a handful of kills, since the killcam highlights them immediately.

There are maps and places that happen Alot.
Others not at all.
As for snipers I use the stg ones on Berlin, mkb ones on stalin and Moscow, or premium g41 sniper in Moscow. And I push with all of them like any other squad.
I don’t tend to waste too much time on a tent. Isn’t helpfull for the team

Only sniper squad i use is the normandy fg42
Only one of the soldiers with this weapon has the scope still attached
All the others have it ironsighted for assaulting points or for use as an lmg
Yeah, I was considering if after merge I would do fg42 squads with full fg42 II including snipers.
Like elite german paratroopers.
Amazing gun. Lots of fun. But, not as deadly as mkb and stg sniper.
Out of every single one of them, g41 sniper is my favorite…
G41 > everything.
Damn I still have to purchase more g43 snipers…
