Jokes on you I just thought the same about your posts that are denying already many times proven issues.
But on serious note, this is pretty important. Bad monetization can bury the game before it even gets chance to shine. I saw too many good games (indie shooters too) to die because of bad monetization that you defend.
We all know what is bound to happen eventually since gaijin is publisher. But without good start there is no way we can even get to that point, can we.
But we don’t know how they will monetise the game yet LMAO, if it is such a big deal for you two, try making suggestions rather than complain about something that has not happened yet LOL.
Guess this is why you don’t want to lose more braincells, you had none to begin with
game’s already monetized, and we have seen more monetization stuff leaked on the russian forums.
oh please flag this post im so done.
First monetization plans were to monetize access to new campaigns and cosmetics.
Then it was changed to monetization plan similar to War Thunder which raised a lot of eyebrows. You see, we all hoped that it will be low tier like War Thunder monetization… but we got its top tier variant instead. And since we know how much progress gaijin makes in terms of predatory monetizing, this is not a good sign and should be delayed if not stopped as much as it is possible.
Ever heard of WT naval forces? That is best example of being too soon too greedy. I see same pattern in Enlisted, that is concerning.
Again, rather than complain about something that has not happened, try suggesting better methods of monetisation if you don’t like the way you think it is going, but simply saying, “I don’t like something that hasn’t happened” doesn’t help LOL.
And where are you getting this supposed information considering the devs have not officially said anything yet?
Even if you think you know how it will be monetised, try suggesting better alternatives rather than simply complaining and if you cannot think of any, then perhaps make your point about not liking it, but then stop going on.
It was literally on main page of Enlisted for a good while and interviews provided by lead designer for certain outlets. Also you can easily see the pattern which alone without any known plans tells a lot.
And of course, members of CCP have more information than we do, so that may be his next source as well.
As for cat “not suggesting”… that is not true. In fact he made quite a bit of suggestions just like many of us. But a lot of them were simply burried under the posts like this.
You see, we tread a dangerous ground.
Well then how about you guys stop making posts like this? And instead continue discussion there… It is by responding to every slightly related post with saying it’s bad that you bury your potentially good suggestions LOL And if you don’t like something, all you need to do is say it once, learn basic human interaction and stop going on, there are far more important things than having the same rhetoric repeated on every thread.
It is usually us that have to reply to answers that are straight up denying the in-game reality or defending premium squads for whatever reason (there were also attempts to intimidate devs through “next time purchases from entire private community” if adjustments are made, so there is that). I myself really dislike having to insult each other or to spam, but sometimes it is simply not possible in case we were just misunderstood with our intentions.
I hope that explains it well enough because we should stop this discussion here, where it does not belong before it gets removed by moderators.
Kind of fair enough, but it is still better to suggest alternatives, perhaps integrating them into your response (that way keeping it visible regardless), rather than simply reiterate what you believe, especially in the case of monetisation where we do not know what they will do and no viable alternatives have been presented by those arguing it heavily from what I have seen, same with other hotly debated topics and especially when it comes to TCat, he just expects something to change when there is not something to change it to, instead constantly pushing that it needs to be changed when such is obviously currently a waste of time which is why I get strained at him and perhaps i have lumped you in with him, for which I apologise however, you have been slightly rude in this thread yourself (just pointing out, not saying I haven’t been to TCat).
I would though like to see the information you have on monetisation (preferably in a new thread so it can be discussed and obviously official sources would be better, [or at least interviews]), but if you have such, then an actual discussion can be had about it since there would actually be something to talk about. Ping me there if you do so I know easily.
Since they recently mostly post stuff about Normandy only, I know OBT is coming soon, and leave this game really half finished. (I used to think OBT is around end of 2020)
Really not recommend paying any money to this game. It do not deserve 30USD. Or any price above 10USD. It just dosent give you any fun, but more annoying when playing deeper.
Like if someone would care about recomendations from a guy thinking that paying $ from 2-3 hours income for something created by a group of people during many years is huge deal. You’re free to go, im pretty sure you wont find any other game like enlisted for 10$ on the market, and if you will - good luck, have fun.
Actually there are dozens of players decided not to buy the premium pack after I told them the current situation of this game. And some even denied to play this game anymore after I lend this game to them.
Also, I already bought most WW2 FPS that launched on steam with some reputation. Like RO2, only 3 USD, gave much more fun also history knowledge to me.
Just because you don’t like the game which you have made quite clear, does not mean A) that others don’t and B) that they wouldn’t if you didn’t start them with a biased view, so instead of continually criticising the game to everyone without substance, how about you actually be constructive or not respond at all?
a vote of the review of Enlisted:
1st: postive
2nd: negative
3rd: just so so
4th: dosent own yet
Only 6 like this game.
In steam review standard, this game just get Mixed rate of review.
Dont fool yourself that this game at current state, current price is a good game.
So cant you acknowledge this game has so many downside compared to RO2?
Isnt RO2 one of the most reputable WW2 FPS game?
If this game is doing worse than traditional or similar theme FPS games, so how can this game grab the money from those players?
There are more people outside WT but are interested in WW2 FPS.
WT success because its unique advantage (balance great between realism and fun, also P2W compared to competitors’ high price, in sim world, game or software price is always high), but may not using the same way to success in other field of games.
and? i think it’s quite normal and understandable?
yes,
WT ( many people already covered the problems such as Spookston, TheEuropeanCanadian, Ash, and many others youtubers ) it’s a crambling title. the only reason why it keeps survive, it’s because it’s unqiue as you said. but it’s far from fun for many people.
agreed. ( i’m not sure if you can call it sucess ) because, as a game, provides quite a lot. but known for how greedy they have become, and the ammount of bugs or miss balance it is most of the time.
what i meant, and what i already writed to you:
is that you cannot compare different titles as both are preatty much different.
one it’s realistic-simulative the other one is, realistic-arcady.
not to mention, RO2 it’s a 10 years old game. where just like enlised, had it’s own problem at the beginning. during alhpas and betas.
( campaign got removed, and saw light for the first months )
than, you had to pay in order to play it, ( which eventually financially supported what camed next, such as DLC, maps and eventually, the american front )
and lastly, it has been developed by a different softwarehouse that had other targets as audience, plan it with others ideas in mind.
and over the course of years, game industries has changed.
don’t get me wrong, RO2 it’s an excellent game, that still is played by many of us.
but when speaking for enlisted, you cannot compare them both, as it’s a free to play to begin with, unlike RO2, they have more things to manage, there’s an actual physic behind, dragor 6 it’s something that the unreal engine of that time could only dream. also, the graphyic behind, the physic of the maps, details, weapons, vehiels, ballistic and there’s much more compared to RO2.
the only issue that this game has, unfortunally is having gaijin as publisher. but we have to be gratefull to gaijin at the same time as allowed dark flow to work with WT assets, and use their Engine.
Well, I see the game industry is changing, but to a more terrible way.
Seeing that BFV’s failure, should warn developers that following the newset trend can lead to a faliure. Also I am a Chinese, there’s tons of mobile games are F2P. They earn by creating vast of games and hope one can success. Also that success dosent mean the game is a good one, just success by luck. But for Enlisted and darkflow, they only have one (or two) chance of success. One is this, other is CRUSE. If they dosent provide a good game, they may just fail like many other dead games.
BTW, this game deals terrible at its “arcade” thing. Arcade should be pure fun of shooting, not dealing with many other non shooting related stuff. Also implement mechanic to improve shooting fun, not some weird and annoying academy, RNG, previous game mechanism nerf to players’ game experience.
Also, as a F2P game, this is a FPS game, which is very sensible of hack. The cost of hack is almost none because creating another account dosent cost anything. Also this is a FPS, very sensible to PING. So WT’s hack detection like server side hit registration is not suitable here. Also GJ’s account isnt worth at all compared to steam, which has a great social function. If this game can success, which will lead to a lot more hacks. How will they deal with it?
Also, current maps, details, weapons, ballistic (mostly hit registration) are all worse than RO2. Here in China, we all get 100~300 ping. Only in Enlisted do we get so many problems at hit registration which is more important than ballistic. Also movement is even more clumsy than RO2, especially indoors, hitting jump key can always lead to unintentional climb. And sometimes fails to step over or climb over stuffs. And more weird jerks while aiming and get close to something than RO2. Also grenade physics is also more worse or more likely to bug than RO2. Enlisted only does well in Vehicles and graphics, sometimes in dynamic destructions, and that’s because of Dagor 6, not RO2’s UE3.
