Finns in 1939 armed with Henschel King Tigers, dropping 500 kilo bombs and spraying with Sturmgewehrs - this kind of experience any nazi fanboy desires.
P.S.
All non-majors ought to be subbranches.
There shouldn’t be any kind of finnish, hungarian or french trees.
Less retarded version of Chinese or Italian tree in WT where one side uses weaponry it never could have had at the same time.
I could be misremembering but I recall that they said they will still be adding more campaigns but they are only going to be limiting it to one campaign at a time and it will be locked to its own que for the durration of the season it gets dropped.
considering that the vast majority of tanks Finland used over the course of Continuation War were derivatives of Soviet designs (FT 17s were at most used as static defenses considering how outdated they were at the time, only like half of 30ish Vickers Mk Es were battle-ready at the time of Winter War, and by the time of Continuation War Finns mostly used captured T-26s and 20ish Vickers rearmed with T-26 guns and machine guns), I honestly can’t see it being enough for a standalone faction and not a mirror match between USSR and Finland.
Well, it still would be mostly Soviet vs Soviet when it comes to ground vehicles, although I guess it would be funny to see KV-1E vs KV-1E or even the ISU-152 vs ISU-152
Yeah, at the end its still copy-paste for Soviets and Finns.
Just add some old Soviet stuff to their tree and make subnation tress for Axis and be done with it.
Suomi, Super Mosin and Stugs is at least a basis that faction can be build on, yet you are right… thats about it and the Finnish Stugs were only a continuation war thing.
Never said it was what you suggested.
Its what it necessary will become in reality if we get finnish tech tree.
We already for some stupid reason have finnish weapons in german tree. Now we’ll multiply entities by adding soviet and german weapons into finnish tree, ending up like War Thunder, when powerful german tree is filled up with allied vehicles for hell knows what reason, making it even more disbalanced than it was before, but it also stops being german.
At some point soviet tree (nation that bloody produced them) had only 3 KV tanks more than german, while german ones were all better than soviet analogues.
If we’ll add trees that use captured weaponry - we’ll end up soviets fighting soviet like in WT, but soviets will ultimately be weaker than their foes, as they do not enjoy variety of enemy weaponry in own tree.
