Winning as Allies on Battle of Moscow Campaign

I’ve noticed it’s quite difficult to win as allies on this campaign… Anyone else thought the same or am I just having an unlucky experience so far?

Not really, it really depends on your teamates, I would say that I win about 2/3 of my battles, sometimes its 50/50

Thanks. I guess it does depend on teammates, but some maps just feel axis sided for me. I’ve only been playing on the allies side since I got the game. I’ll keep playing to see if anything changes for me.

Only made this thread because I was just curious what other people thought

Well, I think that might be your problem right there. Playing only one side often leads to confirmation bias, and you are not seeing those matches where the Germans get absolutely smashed.

That is not possible on any map in Moscow, because both Allies and Axis can start their matches on both sides of the map in Conquest and can both attack and defend in Invasion. Only map that is sticked to one side only attacking is Assault map, and there is no way it is axis sided

In Moscow campaign both nations can start on either side of all maps. It’s probably done in part for balance and in part to represent the back and forth nature of that battle. Historically Soviet counter-offensive was quite different in nature from German attacks, but that’s largely beside the point.

What I’m getting at is that yes, in Moscow campaign winning and losing is almost entirely down to the kind of players you have on both sides. Which incidentally also means that you’ll get different results based on your server choice and time of day.

Personally I don’t think I’ve seen any big anomalies in that regard (in either campaign), other than D-Day being atrocious. Things could be different on NA server or outside of prime time.

I see what you mean, but I wouldn’t be making this thread if I saw games where Germans get smashed too. I’ll just play more games, I’ve just been very unlucky I guess

You have been. Just got smashed by the Russians on Birch. My team was utterly useless. :unamused:

I guess there’s no cheaters then, since everyone else here is managing to win at least occasionally :slight_smile:

Cheaters exist, I just haven’t seen any yet. Winning with a stupid team will of course be harder than winning with a smart one. Unfortunately, most people are not smart. :wink:

Well, I have seen some Shady stuff so might be cheats but yes too many cod players make bad teams!
