Sorry it wouldn’t let me to upload videos here so I had to send a link… The rate of fire is too fast for this heavy, old, rusty ww1 left-off. It also deals the highest damage out of all other guns. It should be nerfed.
The M1895 predates WWI by 19 years (as by the designation). With that out of the way, the model is completely wrong, the action on the actual M1895 was Lever-action, instead of bolt action, but, the fire rate on the M1895 was stupendously fast, it was nicknamed the “Machine gun of the west” (American West). The model appears to be a M1903 Springfield. Now, the M1895 was a good gun for its age, it was lighter than other fire arms, shorter, and had a high fire rate for its time (300-400 RPM!). So the fire rate seems to ve okay, its just the model and feed system.
Interesting, I didn’t know that. Why was it phased out of production after ww1 if the feeding system was so fast?
It never really took off in western use. The only major military to use it during the first world war was the russians. And that was only 10-20,000 if memory serves me correctly. The western powers were pretty set on bolt actions around the time the winchester 1895 came out. Add to the fact that the mechanism was fairly complex making it more expensive and only the russian version had the capacity to accept stripper clips, thus meaning a slower rate of fire for the other versions meant it never got adopted to most militaries
I menat like, civilian use “The wild west”
U sure, wild west ended in late 19th century. This rifle was designed 5 years before the begging of the 20th century. Also on civil market, brand new guns are very rare to find. There are very small chances that m1895 ever saw service in wild west
The wild west actually went into the first decade of the 20th century, depending upon how one chooses to define it. To add dome more details, many famous American outlaws were actually still around (and commiting crimes) in the 20th century. Arizona and New Mexico did not become states until 1912. The period of the wild west went a lot later into american history than most people realize.
It’s not old for a service rifle, the Moist Nugget is from 1891, and the Kar 98 is a development of the Gewer 98, from… 1898
Look at it on a modern perspective too- the AR platform was developed in the 50s, and countries are still adopting their own versions of it today.
I’ve also heard of active units in the US today still using M2 .50 cals dated from WWII, though I’m not sure how true that is. But it is true that the machine gun hasn’t been modified since, though there have been attempts to.
I believe US units use the m3m as a heavy machine gun, primarily on vehicles, which is a modification of the m2. (Upon a little research, both the m2 and m3m are used, although not commonly.)
never heard of a modern M3, just the M2HB and Mk.19 on vehicles, maybe M240.
Im fairly certain its based off the AN/M3 which is based off the AN/M2
Winchester alongside Madsen LMG and MG-13 still use placeholder model don’t expect all of the modelling of the game is completed during this stage of playtest
I think MG 13 got it’s real Model recently
sadly, another place holder.
they swapped an mg 42 with an mg 34.
the 34 was used during operation barbarossa… but than why call it mg 13 than?
you can notice the differeces through the magazine.
Mg34
Mg 13
Yeah, why are they even adding placeholders. They can just fully design a weapon and then put it in the game. I really don’t see the reason for them removing the dp-27 and giving us Madsen. It looks the same as dp-27 but it’s less accurate and has much less ammo.
I was replying to the original post, not making a suggestion
Probably balancing, with the dp being much better than the madsen
Well, as I much would hate to say it but it might be true that the devs are messing (trolling) with players in away considering the premiums they want to add, to be honest I won’t be even surprised if it going to be reality.
I think what’s going on is they’re prepping for open beta, prioritizing open-beta weapons over current weapons so they look good when it goes public.
This really defeat the purpose of them selling the premiums though & showing off how of a scam it is (it’s also hurting the game), as much as I would like the playerbase of testers to increase what I think they should do is more focus on the design direction & the decisions regarding that more than anything else, basically means experimenting with mechanics much much frequently (or being just the focus of the updates).
An example of what I mean is that they would change the lootbox system (Logistics) & since that is the backbone of the progression systems mechanics like the squad upgrades & so on would need to be further looked into & how that change would impact them. This what the test should’ve been from the get go yet way back then I said what I think we are here for & it is still being the case.
