Will we ever get a match filter?

I’d say the majority of people who desert a battle do it at the very beginning, myself included, based solely on the match type. Some people hate conquest and destruction so they simply wont play it. I get tired of a defensive map for the 10th time in a row so guess what? I leave.

Adding a filter would, I believe, help the issue of people bailing on a game. Sure some people will always leave the potatoes who form a cirle around the point and never enter but hell atleast it fixes people looking at a map and saying “NOPE”.

Then people want to punish players for leaving when they never even had a choice of what they wanted to play to start with :roll_eyes: I cant understand that logic…give us a filter, lets try it and see if things improve!

then the conquest and destruction died out because people migrating to invasion or something

If they arent popular there must be an issue with the game type if people wont play. Making people play it doesnt improve or fix the mode

it has to do with map design issue that fits the gamemode (ex. gorge destruction, lehrter bahnhof destruction, chateau conquest), some maps are fun with conquest (reich chancellery conquest).

I mean that doesn’t change my point; People wont play them regardless if you force them into the match.

Let’s add this… and ALSO a bonus xp reward to those who would use “random” everything. This way nobody could argue this splits player base, and we’d get either bonus xp, or choice, as a bonus! Win win!

Depends, if the team loses the first point and only 12 tickets have gone I’m out, doesn’t matter how well I’m playing I’m not able to kill 10 squads at a time solo even if the team is just sitting on the cap i can at least kill them fast enough so that we can maintain majority but usually they’re everywhere but the cap

How are maps chosen anyway? I’m usually stuck to three maps with the same modes in Moscow. After an update it changes a little.
Currently it is

  1. Pokrovskoe Destruction
  2. Birch Grove Invasion
  3. Manor Conquest

All other maps or the other modes either vanished or are very rare. I do leave too from time to time if the same map appears again.
