Will it stay free to play? (Question)

Hello Soldiers!

I recently started playing Enlisted on Xbox Series S and already love it!

I am a bit concerned tho if it is full free to play because I can play all 3 Campaigns, including “The Reichstag Walls” but I thought one had to buy the campaigns?
Is it gonna change soon or will it continue to be free to play?

Thanks for your help :v:

it will stay f2p though, like war thunder, all new major things like a new campaign will enter a paid CBT for a bit until it’s released for free

You only pay for extra’s and early acces to new stuff. Might even be they remove the payment for early acces but thats speculation.
The game itself will stay free to play.

It’s free to play, but there’s hundreds of dollars worth of firearms and squads that you will only be able to access if you pay. There is no way to grind your way to earning it. It requires money.

Hundreds of dollars worth of junk that may help you out for a few levels in the beginning but for long term use is really just a waste of money …

They’ve scrapped the idea of buy to play. They were strangely evasive when asked if new campaigns will ever be behind paid access, but it’s unheard of for live games to switch from free to play. There’s simply nowhere to switch to without completely screwing over everyone.

They are already selling early access to campaigns, so I think we’re most likely to see more of that. Maybe that’s why they didn’t want to confirm or deny anything as far as campaigns being free.

Well, hang on, do you expect to get some sort of wonder weapon that makes you dominate others? There is no wonder weapon, and different firearms have different things they’re good at and different things they’re not good at. Everything is a trade-off. I don’t expect the M1941 Johnson to be some sort of magical rifle or LMG that suddenly makes me destroy others effortlessly. I just want to see their perspective of it! I am actually not sure if I have EVER used an M1941 Johnson in a first-person shooter, and I’m excited to try it! Excited enough to spend almost $40 USD? HELL YEAH I can afford it, I have over $1000 USD in my bank account, though it’s not in USD it’s in Canadian dollars. I’m not gonna dish out THAT much money for one rifle though, that would be obscene! If it was $5, I’d have bought it days ago. $10? yeah, again, probably days ago! $15? I’d wish for some way to grind to knock off a bit, but yeah, I’d probably put down the money. $20+? For one rifle in one squad and I’m not even sure if I could purchase more of that firearm with bronze purchases or silver purchases? Too much of this situation seems built to totally deny free gamers from stuff, and demanding far too much from those who can afford it.

For the cost of unlocking everything in the game, I could probably take that money 10 years ago here in Canada and buy a Russian SKS and 1080 rounds of Military 7.62x39, the round the AK47 and AKM fires. You could get all that for just $500 CAD around 2010 or so. That’s ridiculous. You really need to choose which side of which campaign you want to focus on, and give 'er, otherwise you’re wasting your time and will be spending hours using the same BASIC kit, especially if you actually go both Allies and Axis, which early on I did, but quickly left the Axis alone since the Allies side had more variety.

It will stay F2P - that’s a guarantee. It’s a Gaijin game afterall.

Instead they will focus heavily on disincentivizing F2P players, maximizing the grind to force the players to get premium and gold to pay their way through to get stuff at a reasonable pace and alleviate the excruciating said grind that will eventually suck the fun out of the game and present a barrier for new players as content gets added over time. It will follow the exact same route as War Thunder.

Really NOT worth to waste a single fckg Cent for it - it helps NOTHING! It is pure wasting MONEY
