I would love to see a cold war and modern war in the future, but I also think there are a lot of problems that need to be solved before that can happen.
If we add the technology tree now to the modern era, the Pacific and Tunisia, which are just suffering from unbalanced matching, would be even worse: WW2 US forces vs. modern japanese SDF, modern British forces vs. Italian forces in WW2 would be doing battle!
Well, that’s what I would like to see, though.

I hear they could be bringing in some historically accurate U.S. Civil War bombers & aircraft carriers. Old equipment, but it could make things interesting.

I vaguely remember someone posting on the forum their compilation of every battle that took place from the First World War to modern times. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find it now.

But not for ww1

More modern conflicts and weapons WILL come in the future. Because money flow will eventually pass through there at some point.

1-if they had intentions for that, we would have seen it ages ago
2- even small games like isonzo with small developer team designed better ai
So we have two possible and logical conclusions:
1- in order to keep this game as run n gun bs, they will never upgrade ai properly so every noob can feels himself as good player because he can mow down 62647474 number of idiot bots with smg
2- they dont have ability as developers to deisgn proper ai.
If you think proper ai is hard to design or technology is not enough
Just look at the ai of antiquated games like bf 2 (2005) and brothers in arms series

Every battlefield game after bf 2 has horrendously bad ai
This has nothing to do with money, resources, technology etc…
They simply dont want game to have good ai
Since games must be “muh new player friendly” in modern era and for younger ( aka moronic) audiences
This is not an isolated case here.
Every big gaming franchieses downgraded their ai in games to the utterly moronic level in last 10-15 years

i agree with you it is truth
just i think it is unnecesery to say young people are moronic
but i think not need to make AI shoot beter, just so they not get stuck and stay close to each other and take inteligent cover such as if you see men of war series when you have soldiers selected it will show what kind of cover they can take , take a look at it it would be nice if they could do that
