What you read in the title:
Why do I need to pay silver for equipment and vehicles that I already have? Of course it’s taking A LOT of silver. Makes no sense.

Because they weren’t clever enough to simply let you have it, AS WELL AS screwing the game up.
Just spend a few hours trying to sort everything out from you 100+ squads in every nation you play - you’ll be fine by next year.

Yeah, the green ones that “reward” you, but you need to pay… Also, makes no damn sense, I already HAD those squads, there’s nothing new here, just the same old “pay, pay and keep paying”.
Gosh damn man… Instead of making things easier for everyone now it’s a damn mess, I don’t understand how it works and now we don’t get to choose where we wanna play with the equipment we desire… They just keep taking and taking choices from us.
Also, to reorganize everything from scratch is a pain in the ass… See you next year, yeah.

No, the squads are actually new. And you own the squads which previously came with these specific weapons.

I must be retarded or something, but I still don’t understand. I already ALREADY OWN those vehicles and those squads. There’s NOTHING new, no weapons, no troops, no equipment, nothing. So I don’t understand why I should pay for something that has been unlocked with the good old system. And of course, it’s stupid af, because it’s not just about making sense or not, it’s about money, something that’s going to be painful as hell to grind. So there’s no excuse, no new troops or new squads or new vehis

Have the same “issue” but on a very small scale for me as I had already everything unlocked in all campaigns prior to the merge.
I’ve managed to take some screenshots of actual claiming reward and paying for that:
The P-38J unlocks Fighter Pilot III, the US didn’t have this squad before the merge, so this is normal

So… now if we unlock new weapon with a new squad we actually have to pay for it, unlike previously (old Enlisted) where we just claimed for free our newly unlocked squads with new weapons attached to them.
Here you can see IL-2-37 “locked” and ready to be bought (paying silver or gold):
And here the very same plane unlocked and with 2 pilots (meaning that i’ve used it and I’ve already unlocked them).
Here Jumbo and P38J are locked and ready to be bought:

This issue is happening with every nation, with some other squads and vehis.

Thanks for the pics, as I said above it’s normal, because you don’t have the tech tree squad that can use these vehicles, you only have the legacy squads.
