The jumbo never should have been added in the first place but adding the panther fixes nothing. It introduces an entirely new problem. It’s the jumbo situation except reversed and much worse for the US side

100% agree. Would have made sense for the Allies to have a 76mm M4A1 or a Firefly to counter the thing, but currently, it’s just tipped the scales to the other side, remaining equally unbalanced.
I posted months ago to not get so upset about the jumbo. It was only a matter of time until a panther showed up and turned the tables.

Panther is easy to 1shot by a 76mm gun, Since i’m Berlin player with M4A2 - i have expirience dealing with Panthers on 76MM
It is pretty easy, they are exploding on a first shot pretty frequently. On the other side - penther cannon can’t 1shot a simple T34 with 54mm of armor. So it is heavily favoring Allies, not the axis
If you not agreed - go on and buy M4A2 in Berlin, and just try to 1shot panthers. Pretty easy
Only Tiger 1 would counter jumbo, no other tank would help.

You are wrong. Panther is better counter against 75mm Jumbo. M10 is crappy tank with no armor compared to Panther and it has shitty turret traverse.

Because unlike the Jumbo or some of the other BS equipment choices that currently plague the Normandy campaign the Panther A was the probably the most common tank facing the allies in Normandy along with the PzIV H, and whilst I don’t have the numbers at hand it may even have been deployed in greater numbers than the PzIVs.

Jumbo regularly got killed by P4 and even P3 - even if unskiled players couldn’t manage it.
M10 with 76mm on paper should be able to kill the Panther, but also should be vulnerable to EVERY OTHER GERMAN TANK in the campaign - including the Puma and P3M.
Unless the damage models get borked again - which seems likely given performance to date.
IMO at this point there is no history in this game in any campaign - it is pretty much just WW2 Warhammer 40K

Because whereaboo’s couldn’t take the P-47 having a bomb and the A-40 having 4… Ju-188’s barely figured - the air problem for the allies was 110 rockets arriving 20 seconds after hte game started - that got stopped months ago.

You mean like how you made this post to complain about the panther, before even actually seeing one?
I certainly seem to remember the allies complaining just as much, if not more, about the 188. But overall it was both sides that complained about bombs. So stop trying to turn that issue into factionalism.

Ah yes, because that doesn’t have anything to do with the fact that they’re pretty much equally difficult to fight (edit: and should be fought using roughly the same tactics).
