Good question. I don’t know, but (D) means Default, so we will see in the test server if other default weapons also have that name.

I guess they will separate from the other Kar98k.
Shame for me since I stockpiled maxed K98s in this campaign and sold some of the better one in other
This is just stupid on so many levels… why would germany use the english word default for its name.
I expected it to be some smart ass DF employe that used the looted weapons naming conventions for a german weapon… even thought (d) it would declare it as danish and not german.
Please find anothere way the name them as this is just stupid.
Call it midwar or Ostfront kar98k, both would be fine for me but this looted by denmark is silly.

I will make an educated guess and say that this default label is for internal use for devs.
You know, to distinguish it from Kar Kriegsmodel, Kar sniper, Kar ccg…
