like they suggested they might look up into soft HA MM rule? it is totally unrealistic to even think that they might even consider this considering current playerbase. maybe if we get something like 5x increase in playerbase we could get group vs group matchmaking.
I get it…but lowering party sizes never sat well with me.
I was so disappointed when the battlefield series went from 6 to lower.
Its nice to have a social game when all the boys are online, doesnt happen often… 4 is minimum imo.
But squad vs squad priority should be a thing.
That game series got infected by the bad company virus.
Which is why I have turned to Enlisted. Not buying another Battlefield until they wisen up
The general practice is to have team players prioritize matching team players over solo players, but I doubt if DF has the ability to create such a matching system, although this is common in other games.
A 2-men team may prioritizes matching team players, but if there is currently no suitable queue, they can still join solo games.
A team with 3+ person will only matches with team players, and in order to achieve faster matching, If a match with sufficient number of players cannot be established within 1min, player’s restrictions on server region will be canceled. If a game with more than 10 people cannot be established within 3 minutes, they are allowed to match solo players.
Well obviously.
So, the root of the problem is?
- That mm doesn’t pit teams with stacks, against teams with stacks.
A stack of 4 will win any and all matches, unless facing a similar stack, you guys should know this… even old WoT and WoW are doing mm correctly.
Hiding this fact is just trying to hide the dirt under the rug instead of really cleaning it.
Have they even CONSIDERED incentivizing players to join together though?
I would think it would be more well received all around if they encouraged players to work together, (perhaps even adding an in-game group finder for other players with similar search settings) Alongside some bonus silver for using the function/ in a group.
Rather than just divide players even further across the board.
Not necessarily, I’ve played against 4-stacks as solo and duos, and still come out on top.
Not saying its EASY, but it is doable.
It’s indeed doable, if your team is fully human, and the team 4 stacking has 6 bots…
That is, stacks have a clear advantage. If only because they communicate better.
There’s a reason why almost all other pvp games balance the numbers of stacks with mm, it’s not just for making a pretty looking symmetry…
Personally, I’m still of the opinion that they should be incentivizing players to run together more, rather than just splitting everyone up.
I do think this would also help some solo players in a roundabout way though too, as it will also increase the chance of having a group on your team as well.
Please note that I find games were there is absolutely no coordination appalling. 10v10 is really boring when its 10 solo players vs. 10 solo players.
I don’t disagree,
However! Before doing so, devs should implement something that should have been a thing since 3 years ago.
A lobby.
Really! How is it that the only way to communicate with friends in Enlisted, is DURING a match?!?
What happens nowadays is:
- join a friend invite.
- spawn in a match with completely improper br.
- tell friend which brs both should play
- DESERT MATCH (that only was used to communicate)
- select proper br preset and find new, correct match.
It’s something so obvious, so basic in a multiplayer game, that I’m baffled as to why it’s not a thing even after 3 yrs.
Discord and others are external applications, they don’t count.
I agree on this.
I rarely use the current in game one because I use xbox party chat.
Though I will say the HLL figured theirs out pretty well, to where my group and I always switch to game chat for it, so I’m sure Enlisted could figure SOMETHING out considering they only need to worry about 10 player communication at max.
o really? can you provide games where there is such MM? and are those games with simple queues aka any vs any? or do they have complex nation/BR separations?
In Apex team players are prioritized to match team players, while solo players only match team players when there are not enough players in the queue.
Some third-party platforms of Csgo/Cs2 offer priority solo services
In Most MOBAs (Dota, Lol, etc.)a 5-person team will only meet another 5-person team, while some 5v5 MOBAs limit 3-person team to only match 2-person team(3+2).
Why Enlisted cannot implement such a matchmaking mechanism is not because of some country or BR thing, but simply because the number of people playing this game is too small, and DF cannot even fix fundamental bugs, let alone complex matchmaking mechanisms.
