At present, the command distance of about 50 meters seems too close, and there is no suitable shelter in some places. Just walking a short distance will prompt “If the distance is too far, the order will be canceled”, and then AI will die from gunfire or random guns in the distance. This tends to destroy the team. You can increase the command distance to 60 meters or 80 meters.
to avoid making the game a 1 on 1 and this way, make the batle alive.
It is at a decent spot, I think it could be extended maybe 5m at most though.
I do think that placing an individual soldier anywhere in the objective zone should keep them there no matter how far you go though, much like how a squad order on an objective does. This way you get that advantage without them being clumped so hard in one place, while also still being in the field of play where other players would find them
However, in some places where the fighting is fierce and there is no refuge within 50 meters, the premature death of the team members will not bring excitement and gameplay to the warring parties. It is normal that there is no shelter on the plains and beaches, but in some towns, it is only a little more than 50 meters away, and AI is out of control
I agree with both sides of this:
- The distance at which they will stay is too short.
- Though its to avoid a lone wolf situation where they go in with one soldier at a time.
Its a tricky slope, but I think there are a couple necessary steps to fix this.
- The devs need to add “Lone Fighter” mode back into the main list, but not remove squads. This way, the players that wish to play the game like COD and only have one soldier at a time can do so without screwing everyone else over in a squads game.
- Make AI “interact” with sandbag walls. This way if you tell them to make use of a sandbag wall, they will from whichever side you ordered it from. This will encourage more people to use sandbags at middle areas as well as on objectives, creating more cover to be made use of. That way, you can tell them to move between cover that otherwise might not be there.
- Increase the resistance/ hp of sandbag walls. Fragmentation weapons, low powered HE, and HMGs shouldn’t take them out as easily as they do now. With this change it will make them more viable both for offense and defense.
- Make AI prioritize moving through trenches, even if its a couple meters detour. Even player made trenches. Like you said, they run through open fields and get gunned down far too easily.
Some times have your bots follow is a death wish for them. If the bots were any smarter we wouldn’t need them to have a long leash.

Another important question for the devs regarding these problems - why has command option to change bot formation from standart to wide has disapeared? At least it was a bit harder for enemy team to kill them all at once with wide formation.
