That would be better, though people trying to escape to their airfield could be annoying if it is too close.

The issue is that not all planes are capable of starting from a carrier.

Yeah, that’s sad. For this type of planes would probably nothing changed. Air spawn (they just fly over from england) and bomb resupply in the certain point + inability to repair.
In Tunisia (next to the Fortress) there is an airfield that is not capable of repairing or re-arming planes.

Controller but planes aren’t like war thunder, they struggle to gain speed, altitude and turn
I haven’t ever played warthunder, so I can’t compare/relate.
Do you have your aircraft controls custom mapped to your controller, or are you using default settings?
And yeah I agree that aircraft struggle to gain speed, once momentum is lost.
