never noticed them… they are just too hard to kill compared to tanks. usually way to kill them is to kill their crew and not to detonate their ammo rack… they are simply broken…
Their starting vehicles are unbelievably awful, that has to be at least part of the reason. This goes for both tanks and airplanes.
Stuff in tanker 2 squad is usable, but maps aren not particularly conducive of tanks being impactful. Tanker 1 vehicles are just pure pain for pain’s sake. I’d imagine lots of players refuse to even touch vehicles after that.
Ta Se’s ammo rack is behind the turret but has a fuck ton of dead space, and M13’s one is at the back of the halftrack on the right side (the side with the box). It’s incredibly hard to hit either unless you get to the back or side of the tank, so I don’t blame you for just not bothering.
slow, with some of the longest resupply distances in the game, and the fact that you pretty much already need to be in the air before the bombing run is called if you want to shoot down bombers with a fighter (that’s IF you survive because of the arbitrary double damage that plane MGs get in pacific)… pacific has some of the worst and most unrewarding air gameplay in the game
on top of that, the dauntless can barely even take off from its carrier…
i generally don’t use tanks in the pacific because my aggressive style doesn’t lend well to the pacific maps plus i don’t trust my team to get on the point
This is a common complaint, and it comes entirely from the fact that people don’t know the proper way to take off: If you max the throttle and point the nose forward as soon as you can, you don’t even need takeoff flaps to get up off the deck. It’s very simple once you get the feel for it.
The only really slow plane is the seagull, every other aircraft in the pacific campaign has comparable airspeeds to other campaigns: between 400-600kmh. I find most of the planes in the pacific maneuverable and pleasant to fly.
Re-arming is much slower I agree. It seems to be by design as a response to complaints that other campaigns make suicide bombing too easy by spawning planes in an attack run by default. I really enjoy flying in the pacific, my only complaint is it can get lonely up there
U reminds me of those people in War Thunder who thinks a P-51D is OP and will go 750kph because it says so on stat card, yeah at 8000m altitude with 6 min of fuel.
I just played a match with buffalo and the “resource” says 552kph yet you will never go past 400 in this game unless you are in a 90’ dive. Look at Berlin too, a 190 d12 is meant to be “745kph” yet a La-5FN will out run you by 30kph
There is 2 problems here
The stat card is a complete lie (like War Thunder) or using parameters that the player does not know about. E.g Turn rate of 20 seconds means 20 seconds at 1000 meters
the game has no altitude, no air density, no fuel load slider, no working MEC like WT so whatever theoretical maximum is impossible to achieve
They are largely out-performed by the m13 and the stuart flamethrower.
While many players are quick to point out that the MGs have very small magazines, the reload really is not to bad on them. They are quite accurate, and fairly powerful as you said. It would be nice if the reload was affected by the Machinegunner seat having the “faster firearm reload speed” perk.
My biggest issue though is that there are several of the tanks that actually have a second machinegun sticking out the side/back of the turret, but currently these are unusable. If they were made usable by switching view, one could potentially alternate fire between it and the lower MG to actually have pretty sustainable fire. Then just switch to the cannon when you need to deal with a hard target.
Japanese tanks were built for a purpose. For the most part they filled that role great. 1 company over ran 3 regiments of British troops. They were built assuming the enemy had little to no tanks.
it is mostly because the game is dying, you are experiencing bot matches which seems to be at least 75% of the game now…I just leave most of my matches since I came back because the bot teams ruin the fun, the premium grey zone campers also ruin the fun on most campaigns, happy travels buddy! Hope you find better games in the future without pay to win killing the player count…
