By MP 41 I more meant premiums as a whole. I have little love for PPKs as well.
“I run high health 0 recoil premiums because I like automatic weapons” isn’t very believable.

How is going close range BRAP with a PPD “pretty equal” to burst firing MPs at mid range?

I have rerolled my perks because of that.

Because you really don’t need to burst fire with the MP38 or 40

You can do both with both very well.

Both weapons still promote a different playstyle.
PPD is definitely better at CQC, while MP is definitely better at mid-range.
Larger magazine sizes and higher PDS vs lower recoil per second (not per shot)

You can’t play both sides exactly the same and expect the same results (playstyle wise, I know winrate is different and you have to play differently to compensate for bots as Soviets).

the only place that really applies is with tanks and attackers. Differences with infantry weapons are too minute to matter. It’s just bomb size vs bomb count and machine guns vs HE where the differences lie.

Then what’s with all the complaining about MP41s being lasers at mid range and them needing a nerf?
Like I agree they are lasers, and therefore better at mid range, and now you like “no they play exactly the same”

Tbh instead of going onto these discussions again I really think you guys should be coming up with ways to ATTRACT more people into playing soviets, instead of trying to force soviets onto other players (introducing OP gear is included in this “forcing”).

I’ve also said before that the Soviets could get a massive buff tomorrow to become objectively superior and players still wouldn’t leave Germany because that’s the rut the community is in.

Any lasting change would need to come with a wipe to to stop progression from being a factor at the very least.

You talk about tactic, people talk about strategy. Both teams have same strategy - use SMg, me squads to make more damage on close and mid range, building ralley points - it’s all the same.

Strategy should be the same.
You can’t really balance a game like this if you don’t employ either rock-paper-scissor strategies that are narrow and counter each other, or equal strategies as we have now.

You just don’t understand. This game is free. It’s a brilliant perfect WW2 free game. Be prepared to massive invasion of Russian school boys. They like free games and they like shooters. They are sharp.

That will see all of the premium squads that we get to keep from CBT on day one, get absolutely wiped by them, realise they need to spend months to get an equal fighting chance, then stop playing?

It also does not help with this issue when you’re playing outside of EU/RU servers/times

I myself play around midnight During GMT+0, with Russia being 2 hours ahead of me, I rarely see Russian players as most don’t play at 2AM.

We need to find a way to draw non-russian players into Soviets, otherwise the issue will never be resolved.

Yes I sit on these forums at 3:41AM. At this time I am not playing games anymore. Even if there were a handful of Russians who keep playing this late, it still wouldn’t be enough to consistently fill up the matchmaker. You wanna rely on nolifer Russians to fill matches in the NA servers? Or Australian servers? I prefer on relying on people who actually play in that region and timezone.

Like your argument is literally “we don’t have to make Russia fun because we have Russians who will play Russia” at this point.

What’s why it have to be solved like in other games. RO2, Bf, RS Vietnsm - every there we have an option to choose a side but balance in teams are at first place. Are we gonna to recreate the wheel here?

you are indie developer. And you spend a lot time to find a good balance here (thx!) so maybe look at the quite kinda-look-like-Enlisted games will be a wise move. I will check HLL and PS, HnG but I’m sure it’s the same system

Orr… You could just describe how it works? I myself am not really interested in developing team-based multiplayer games so I am not really interested in diving into research for ream selection etc, especially when already doing research for stuff as those proposed tank changes, progression, matchmaking, etc.
