As we know, Gaijin Entertainment have close cooperation with Nvidia on its proud Dagor Engine, and Enlisted have been one of the first games to support DLSS 2.3 last year, but why we are still using DLSS 2.4 from half year before, when DLSS 2.5.1 have been launched now?
There are still quite a lot of graphic issues with DLSS 2.4 in this game now, for example some ghosting behind a plane or near a wire.
I would like developers or helpers to explain why we do not receive a newer version of DLSS, is it because difficult coding, unforeseeable bug or ineffectiveness because the model is not specifically learned for this game, or any other reason? Or tell when is it planned to update DLSS version?
As I know, DLSS version for most of games can be updated within 1 minutes from a user without requiring any higher knowledge of programming, just by download a newer version from TechPowerUp and replace the nvngx_dlss.dll in local game file, usually do not result in any bug. But this is prohibited in Enlisted by Easy Anti-cheat.
I think why Enlisted “support” ALL super sampling technologies is for… Asking Nvidia/AMD/Intel for subsides…
This is the first game I know support DLSS, FSR and XeSS.
But from a player point of view, when trying to run high resolution on an affordable level graphics card, for example 2560x1440 on RTX 3050 4G laptop or 3840x2160 on RTX 2060 6G, DLSS do help a lot with performance with much less noticeable lost of quality compare to image scaling, and reduce stability issue as well because it also decrease the demand for video memory.
You can manually install 2.5.1 by simply replacing files.
Also, I’m using GTX1080, and this game dosent even heat my GPU to get its fans to spin. 2K60hz near ultra settings, only need 90watts of power. And I had used a 4k60 monitor and used FSR back to near 2k resolution, even at 32inch monitor, still not too noticeable.
Thank you so much for your suggestion that worked on some other games, however here the problem comes only with Enlisted.
After replacing the file, when Enlisted launcher is opened, it will automatically roll it back during checking of update and local file. So if now go to that folder and refresh, DLSS 2.4 file is there. If replace the DLSS file after open the launcher and then run the game, it will not recognise this version of DLSS and DLSS feature will become unavailable now under anti-aliasing in graphic setting. And a warning massage of wrong version of local file is popped out when I quit the game.
On the other hand, I really apricate the performance and graphic quality of Dogar engine developed by Gaijin Entertainment, that is my first motivation to continue play this game although some bugs are fixed very slowly and balancing/progression is likely becoming the permanent issue with no optimum solution. Not many games are able to give this level of enjoyable graphic quality at amazing performance on an affordable level graphic card (think about RTX 3050 Laptop at only 50w max). Compare to these FPS games built on Unreal 4 or Frost engine, the performance of Enlisted is way more superior than the vast majority of its competitors.
