Why killcam is a good idea

Pretty simple really - in a game where low rank/level players are fodder, it actually helps them a little.

If you are geting killed a lot (eg new player) they it helps you see where from (obviously) - which is, of course, a bit of a hand up.

And if you are not getting killed a lot (eg top flight players who get a hundred + kills while losing only a handful or zero squads (and this ain’t me!!)) then it doesn’t help you much - indeed it makes you an easier target.

It is really only the seal clubbers who “suffer” from it, and being fairly high level but mediocre myself I dont’ think I or they need more advantages.

This works the other way around asw. If that seal clubber know the exact location where that noob is jumping at him he will decimate all his squad with one guy, even know which corner he might be in

It could use some tweaking tho.

Maybe it should ALWAYS display the player/soldier who inflicted the last blow no matter what, even when said soldier is only credited with an assist…

Because otherwise, as it happens, it can easily mislead newer players into thinking they’ve been killed in a fishy way from behind impossible obstacles.

Yeah - that’s also true!

No kill cam should not be in a game. If a noob claps a skilled player, he will know the exact location and wipe the squad with 1 guy.

Now kill cam ruins the fun sometimes. Why would i chose to even play a sniper or rifleman, when if i shoot someone i will get prefired into my window and die, because the enemy knows exactly where you are

Its not fun.

Another e.x you cant even have a good sniper battle here. The sniper kills your 1 guy, you know his exact location, switch to another member of squad and you won. Wohoo so fun, difficult.

Maybe dont show the exact place of the player who killed you, Maybe the general direction

This could possibly be a feasible compromise.

Instead of highlighting the exact silhouette of the killer, the cam still looks in his direction, but his location is only approximately shown by brackets? The further the soldier, the smaller the brackets.

with kill cam I can see all the impossible shots taken.
its a joy to see a T-28 that killed me, it was just a few pixel big on kill cam, yet it spotted me through the wood, while I was prone, in the bushes, in the fog, not moving nor shooting…
yeah, seems legit.

The damage indicator is busted though, instead of showing firection You were shot from, it DIRECTLY POINTS AT ENEMY, so if he goes around, the arrow follows him, free wh.

A good compromise would be to just delete the red circle that can x ray the ennemy who shot you.

It still give an indication against campers but prevent abuse.

Oh yes and that guy who suddenly shot you thru thick concrete out from no where with small arms

exactly. vice versa.
this ridiculous system is ruining reality and immersion.
Especially, this system makes users to play without any risk.

Imo there should be 2nd , “realistic” gamemode.
If you want run and gun, you play current squads. If you want more hardcore, more realistic, more historical experience, you play this one. And no, I don’t mean lone fighters BS.

Add malfunctions as they are realistic. I want malfunctions back but they won’t be added to the main game as people will bitch about it because “I gOt KiLled beCauSe oF MalFuncTiOns!!!11”. Imo the best option is to make them separate to the main game. Together with other things like no shooting midair, added inertia etc.

I want the hardcore mode from custom games to become an official mode and put into MM.
