My man!!!
(I feel like we TeaBoos are part of a very select, very elitist Gentlemen’s club)
just going to show you this
technically “1000lbs” but actual weight is subjective, at least for US bombs.
weight might not be objective number for UK also

In case you havent noticed there are a lot of japes around. And japes will whine like no tomorrow that something is weak and blah blah blah, so here we are.
If Darkflow would use the a bomb loaded with TNT and AN-M113A1 and with a weight of 1.104lbs (500.77kg), then they would have written 1.100lb in the description.
However, they haven’t. It’s 1.000lb ingame which is 454kg. And 454kg ≠ 500kg.
DF doesnt invent US or UK bomb classification. bomb is called 1000lb AN-M65A1 regardless of its configuration and actual weight.
if you have problem with its classification, then take it to US army or UK army.
also you have actual bombs enlisted uses here:
1lb = 0,453592 kg
1.000lb = 454kg
1.064lb = 483kg
1102lb = 500kg
So, if DF added the AN-M65A1 loaded only with TNT and with a total weight of 1.064lb = 483kg ingame (like in your screenshots), it’s still wrong from a mathematical point of view. 483kg is also ≠ 500kg
So you can’t just say that 1,000 lb = 500 kg. It could be less or more depending on the sources just gave. I was just saying that this is generally not correct
neither is 1000lb=483kg. so whatever bomb configuration you choose it will never be 1000lb bomb.
of course i can say it cause it is general classification of the bomb with similar characteristics of equivalent 500kg bomb from other nations.
1.000lb = 454kg due to mathematical laws. xD
Even if you choose the AN-M65A1 loaded only with TNT you have a total weight of 1.064lb = 483kg (rounded up). Is 483kg = 500kg? Not really.
You’re absolutely right about their nearly equal combat performance. But not about their weight. You origin post just say “btw why did US have 2x500kg bomb on their jet”
Wow 800 kg bomb? Wonder how strong that will be … holy moly
pretty decent - I like it.
I could also live with 500kg bomb. But I really would like to have more ammo for the machine canons - 200 at least
Well, Kikka was not a think even more so yet it dumpsters everything you throw at it lol
Hear hear!
I might be Swedish but I have my preffered country in WW2!
Oooh! Another Gentleman joins our wee club!
Welcome home, chap!
how about if it is AN-M65A1 loaded with Tritonal which is 1104lb=500.766kg. then can i call those bombs 500kg bombs or are you going to nitpick me about extra 0.766kg?
then you can call it 500kg bomb.
glad we discussed it out. xD
At least the proto actually flew before the end of the war
Players asked for it, so now it has one
