just tested Ho-I in training ground and its a 12 second reload. Why? These things should have fast reloads or better reloads. 12 seconds seems way to long
Have you got a crewman in the reloading spot?
Both having a guy here, AND having the fast reloading perk helps a lot
- Probably no complete crew in tank, You need the Charger, if You don’t have one the reload was more slow
2.76mm weapon, more heavy than other japanese weapons
I just tested it out in training room. Haven’t unlocked yet. Had three crew. So thought it would have loader. Commander/driver/loader
It have 5 people in total
Commander,gunner,driver,loader,machinegunner, so do you need another guy for short the reload
1- you need loader
2- altough most people dont like , switch to mg guy. Japanese mg reload is insanely fast
Bots prioritize mg-gunner seat over a loader seat if mg-gunner is controllable. Commander seat have lower priority than loader.
Without full crew your tank becomes a 20-round fixed mg pillbox which craps out a HE shell once in a century.
Why
There are skills for the loader to load the shell faster. I think it costs 16 combat, and it costs 16 speed to change the projectile without losing reload progress, or vice versa. I’m lazy and don’t feel like checking right now.
There are two reasons working on concert to create this really long reload:
A. Ho I’s gun is not like a normal tank’s gun, where the spent shell case is automatically extracted upon the firing of the gun. Instead, the breech must be manually opened for the shell to be extracted, then the loader can place a shell in the breech before sealing it again. To open the breach, the loader must effectively unscrew it, and then screw it back on to close it (see image below).
B. You are probably lacking a loader. That causes the reload time of any tank to jump significantly.
