Why is the ME 410 A-1/U2 an Attacker in Normandy instead of a fighter?

It says heavy fighter in the description, it is lacking strong ground attack capabilities and can’t even use it’s air breaks in enlisted for some reason and is a fighter / interceptor in War Thunder.

Enlisted describes it as a “heavy fighter”, not an attacker.

War Thunder Wiki describes it as a fighter / interceptor and I totally agree. It’s a garbage ground attacker. There are variants of this plane with a 50mm gun like the ME 410 A1/U4 that have excellent ground attack capabilities, but the A1/U2 variant is not one of them.
Please fix this Darkflow!

2x7.92 and 4x20mm explains it all being an Bomber hunter. But yeah the rockets do confuse its role. Garbage ground attacker i wouldnt say as well. All those mgs will rip infantry apart on the ground along with those rockets.

It’s not out of the ordinary for a fighter to have some ground attack capabilities. A lot of fighters do. It just should not take up a bomber / attacker slot in Enlisted. In fact, most fighters in Enlisted have some kind of weak bomb or rockets on them. The bombers/ attackers just have more and weaker guns and are less maneuverable. The ME 410 A-1/U2 just isn’t an attacker, period. I don’t understand why Darkflow would make it take up a bomber slot. It makes no sense at all.

oh so it does that ? yeah then its messed up. Think its just cause Germany gets so many fighters and not bombers perhaps they choose to fill it in to that slot

But isnt Attacker filling them both though. In other words you can still have whatever extra out when an Attacker role is out. Then i see no problem

heavy fighters go under attacker because they can have a bigger payload and they dont turn fast enough to compete with regular fighters

the attacker slot in this game just means bigger payload and worse turn rate, it doesnt have to historically be considered a attacker for darkflow to put them there for balance reasons

It may also have something to do with crew size (although not the case with all planes). For example any one crew aircraft (except for IL2 late) are fights; anything with more than one crew are “attackers”(heavy fighters, bombers, strike aircraft).

normandy was a mistake so it doesnt count
