why should we pay the price of a full AAA title just for an upgrade of one weapon for ONE SOLDIER for ONE SQUAD for one campaign

In a sense gold IS discounted IF what you buy with it has a discount.
It amounts to the same deal…
You just need to pick carefully what you buy. For example most recent premiums are at 30% instead of 50% off. So I’m waiting for those.
You could say that buying those, you had a 50% off the gold you used.
Because you don’t have to pay a single coin, majority of players (mostly kids) are playing for free. If it too much expensive and you are poor, just dont buy it. That’s how life works. 
also the rewards are awful
like a decoration ball for the side of your tank

ive spent about 150 pounds on this game in the last few months and i still dont have any weapon upgrade points
i used it to upgrade my rifles and stuff
then when you sell the rifles you would think your get all your weapon points back right?
WRONG - you downgrade/sell and you only get back 10 per cent of what you paid to get it!
its not greed its incompetency and short sightedness. Greed would mean they would do everything in their power to milk as much money as possible. But as it stands, they implement systems that actually make them lose money because of how poorly designed they are.
I feel as though its greed and incompetency like some of their sales being permanent so its not really a sale. The stupidly over priced premium squads is a perfect example.

OP better use the gold for squad slots on favorite campaign as those are permanent and a game changer as was able to bring different type of squads to the fight.

i remember the first weapon i ever maxed out, the sniper rifle, i was so excited it costed me a fortune at the time to pay to upgrade and loads of time in game to get the neccesary levels modifications etc
and then i realised it was just for ONE SNIPER RIFLE FOR ONE SOLDIER
which means for the next soldier in the SAME UNIT, FOR THE SAME KIND OF RIFLE… i need to go through that all over again

I must say that everything which comes in for free is always welcome in my books.
Believe me they are doing now more events than one year ago thus giving players the opportunity to grab free stuff.
Plus, events like the current one are absolutely cool as you can decide when you play and how much. It is not restricted by time-frames or certain tasks per day.
There is simply some stuff in the game you shouldn’t use gold for. For example paying gold for the next f2p level or squad updates. (Last one I only do upgrade with gold within the range of 1-30 gold when I would like to have an engineer on that squad to avoid another match without one in that specific squad)
The only thing I would use gold for are premium squads and slots and those are from time to time in sale. So if I invest 100 bucks during sales are on i get some decent stuff for a lower price.
For decals and stuff:
If you like that tank and see yourself cooler with a skin, than it is worth the 250 gold.
Because there are sales already on what you can buy for gold? Or do you want double sales in this matter? First on gold and then on things you can actually buy for gold. That says a lot about you, not about devs. You are the greedy one and hypocrite.
tbh gold is ridiculous everything is so expensive for leveling up, you can easily use 500 gold just leveling up modifications on ONE WEAPON for ONE SOLDIER from ONE UNIT
