Why I stopped playing COD and BF

After destroying my ammo crate.

They spend the entire game climbing through that window lmao…

I swear to… IDK what, but literally half of the player base embodies the definition of insanity.

I stopped playing cod and battlefield because of mapdesign, squadspawning mechanics, terrible bulletsponge time to kill.

For me Battlefield started tuning to shit with BF4, and BF1 finally killed it.

Cod died with the original MW2.

The last CoD game I played was WaW and the last BF game was BF V. I really don’t regret giving up those titles.

Yes.

Interestingly enough, what killed it, was… consoles… they had to lower the game’s quality to match consoles specs.

In the very first MW, you could enter a loby… with 30 vs 30 players!!! There could be mods!!! MW2, was 6 vs 6 maximum.

I liked original cod, with the expension. “Bas assault” what a fantastic game mode that was…

Nowadays, ain’t nobody got time to be downloading 200 GB.

The expansions are even more crazy.

I’ll stick to digging foxholes and slapping rallys down them anyday of the week.

Uh BF 1 was one of the best BFs I played and is considered to be up there with some of the best in the series. It was that good.

BF5? Yeah no. I couldn’t stand the female screaming every time they got shot

I was an OG COD player. Played back during COD 1, COD UO, and COD 2. COD 1 and COD UO were some of the best games because consoles were not that mainstream then. Great times with clans buying servers and you could play with the same people every day. Developed a community.

Consoles ruined it. And I laugh when kids these days ask “what’s the best COD ever” and they fail to mention the first games in the series, because they were probably still sucking on a baby bottle during that time.

Well. Now there are big teams possible again, at least it was possible in MW2019. But now the games require so much disc space, its insane.

The dog kill streak unlock was so much fun. When you activated them and heard the barking, put an evil grin on your face.

Personally, BF1 was worst offender because it was no real WW1 game with all those automatics, semis and grenade spam. As a Steampunk, it was fun though.
Also, no Central Power campaign.

I heard they make a complete remake of original BF2. I’m not certain if it’s fan made, thought.

I wonder if you actually means that “You only favors Bad Company (or BF3)”, and it happens to be one of the Battlefield series? Really no offense, Battlefield didn’t have a new instalment every year, so in my opinion it’s impossible for them to “started tuning to something”, while I’m quite sure Battlefield 2 differs largely from BC and BF3.

Well, just to related to post topic, is that the reason you started playing Enlisted?

Agree, that’s why I always played only hardcore in those games.

Each of the old Battlefields were their own masterpiece, but BF4 was pretty much a BF3 clone with a truly horrible launch. I consider BF4 the first disaster in this regard, not to mention that it wasn’t even the better game overall.

Bad Company will also always have a special place in my heart, but in the end it wasn’t reeeally a Battlefield game, at least in the classical sense.

Now my personal grudge with Battlefield 1 was rather specific, you see, at the time it came out I have moved my shooter preferences into the realism area, I have played BF4 only in the hardcore mode - while also playing games like Arma and squad.

I learned to hate games with a very forgiving damage model, I simply can’t play bulletsponge shooters.

I played Battlefield 1 at launch, but the devs made the most ridiculous decision imaginable for a ww1 game - they specifically removed the Hardcore mode from the game, because apparently its not fair that bolt action rifles kill in one shot.

I have never played a single Battlefield game since that day.

Not really. I just liked the campaign system and the squad system. I really only gave up with BFV because EA decided to cancel the game to give us BF2042 instead. Never cared much about CoD beyond MW2019.

I got your ideas. Considering that launch it was truly some shit for BF4…

[There actually are official hardcore servers in BF1 (news), but in actual experience it could be considered non-existent as there are simply no players, I guess it’s due to the change of default server filtering settings.]

It deserves a gave up, as the same thing happened again on BF2042.

At launch there was hardcore - then they removed it

  • then they brought it back, but made it have the same damage modelvas the regular game, just without the hud.

Hardcore where bolt actions don’t kill in one hit, ridiculous
