German aircraft is so weak not only when being shot by enemy from behind, but also within dog fight in Moscow campaign. Normally two bullets from enemy`s machine gun will destroy my plane, but when I hit IL2 with full mag, it just smoke, even still in good condition of control. I just wonder why???

I have the same problem with EEUU planes. there are some videos of a fighter shooting full clip into a german plane and it doesn’t fall.
plane’s armor in general are bugged, sometines your plane fall in 2 impacts and sometimes is impossible to shoot down.

Do you ever play IL2?
IL2 is so poor at menuvor. Power is so poor that can a sharp turn can drop airspeed to near stall.
Also IL2 only starts at 100x2 bombs, while even german starter fighter can get 50x4, attacker starts at 50x4+250x1.

expect IL2 still flies after getting made Holland cheese out of it and retaliate.
MG131 has the issue of not direct shooting down the IL2. But after many damage, the poor IL2 performance isnt fit combat anymore. it’s then be too slow and too hard to control. most of IL2 after I cleared the magazine all gradually killed themselves or just CFIT.
If IL2 still try to fly, just hit him. I have hit many IL2 and push them to grounds (while my plane is still flyable)
Regarding to weapons, I think its about the takeoff weight. But Im sure that German planes have weaker armor. Sometimes I just fall down directly for really small damage. And believe me, when German planes are hit, they`re also hard to control.
Germany is hamstrung at every turn, it’s incredibly unbalanced.

happens to me too. Enemy plane hit me few times and my plane go down. (some days ago, I listened 4-5 bullets hit my plane and I’m out)
so happens to all planes, german and allied.
Sometimes I’m chasing german bomber and he is like an indestructible flying tank and here I see german players have the same problem, so is a bug or design problem.
I don’t think so. German planes have the same problem, sometimes you can’t kill them, so is not balance problem, is design plane problem.

The mobility of German is a bit strange, like speed, acceleration, radius of turning, but actually these are not the main problem. The problem is that you dont have chances to survive the fight because of the weak armor, so that even you couldnt have a chance to compensate the mobility problem by your skills.
I’ve chased down bad pilots in a p38 and me in a 109. Sunk like 80% of my ammo into them at tail chase range. They even fly back to our reload and I sink even more into them.
