Why Enlisted will die if nothing changes

That has since been removed, and very much can be inaccurate.

What the actual fuck are you going on about?

It used to be visible in the forums. It now longer is as it was removed.
Although technically they did add 4 new bolt action rifles, so there’s that. Very much “exciting”

Sorry for the second part, I thought you were the other guy for you are talking the same bollocks, it is still on their website and is still going to be done for Open Beta, every indication we have shows the plan is new stuff for Moscow plus Normandy as the new campaign.

Well if all the “new” stuff is just more of the same but just diffrent enough to not allow overlapping spare parts, aka increasing the grind further, I am not interested.

Also, I am sure you have seen developers not furfilling their promises. coughs Cyberpunk cough Fallout 76 cough

The way the game is set up currently is nowhere close to it’s finished state, almost everything about the Academy, logistics and especially the campaign are subject to change.

Also, please don’t push down a dev team simply because other companies, not even those devs, dropped the ball. This game itself is pretty much entirely run by devs exclusively and are very clearly being given a ton of free reign by Gaijin in their plans, otherwise we would forcibly be in OBT already.

Well, then look at CRSED. Crossout. War Thunder.
Basically every game from Gaijin has disappointed in one way or another and they’re only alive because they’re unique enough that nobody else can replace the games.

Issue is, neither Enlisted or CRSED, both developed by Darkflow, are perfectly replacable. So unless they make the game actually fun, I dont see either surviving for long.

Which is how we’re full circle at “why Enlisted will die if nothing changes”

Errr again, what the actual fuck are you talking about? Perhaps you do need to take a week off to get your head straight, CRSED has plenty of players fully enjoying the game as it stands and in fact proves the devs to be good, they made a game as a joke and because it was popular they turned it into a full fledged game, so they are now quite effectively working on both. Plus this is CBT, nowhere near full release, so everything can change as it is, give constructive criticism rather than simply saying ‘make your game good’, that’s what the forum is for. This entire thread is just stupid argument that is providing nothing to the game, so go provide actual constructive feedback instead of complain here.

But seriously, calling CRSED a disappointment is seriously misguided considering it wouldn’t even be a thing if it wasn’t liked so much lol.

It barely is still standing. CRSED - Steam Charts
Crossout isnt doing much better Crossout - Steam Charts
In comparison, here is their really unique game war thunder War Thunder - Steam Charts
And here is the F2P warframe Warframe - Steam Charts
And WoT Blitz World of Tanks Blitz - Steam Charts
And TF2 Team Fortress 2 - Steam Charts
Yes, I know that steam chart numbers do not represent the total ammount of players, but all games here except for TF2 have their own launchers as well. For most games, ~1k players on steam charts is the make/break area. If they go consistently under that ammount, they are discontinued.

Last time I checked, I made a near page-long thread header that is full with constructive feedback.

Disappointment in games is usually because people have unrealistic expectations.

WT is a bloody fabulous game - it could certainly be better but unfortunately there is this thing called reality gets in the way of wishes and dreams!

War Thunder has surpassed “not meeting unrealistic expectations” and gone down the path of “actively making the game worse”, just like HOI4

What is that actually supposed to prove? It still regularly gets an eighth of it’s all time peak which really is not bad considering it’s niche and that the peek is when it was free and first released where everyone was playing it.

Unfortunately I have to agree with Shanghai there, they actively do not care about the game itself in WT and Crossout’s examples.

However, Star Conflict is kinda decent and a very interesting game with a fair amount of support despite being at best a tertiary game and Enlisted is clearly better supported than that.

But we are all entitled to opinions on that of course and WT is decent enough ish.

Suffice to say I disagree

If the peak is <30k, nobody was really playing it. That is not an ammount that lets a gun run for 10 years like with War Thunder.
Mind you crossout had reached “3 million registered users” early into OBT, but their playercount has never been anywhere near that.

I judge the developers on what they do, not what they say.

What I see in Enlisted rn is an extremely overscoped project where the devs took on WAAAAAAYYY more than they could ever chew.

  • They resorted to using RNG for the main progression.
  • They have failed to make the main attraction for the game, the bots, to work properly (it’s what makes it unique so yes this is the main attraction, why else would you play specifically this WW2 FPS?)
  • They have failed to attract enough players to have fun and engaging matches without having to resort to bots to fill up gaps, or to sustain the playerbase (it has already gone down by at least 70% since CBT started)

Well number 1, the game was never supposed to run for ten years, it was meant to run for a weekend and that would’ve been it, so any success is success.

First, how? You gain experience the normal manner, then get packs and things for logistics to improve your squads, to which nobody has suggested an alternative such as supply points to buy troops and equipment from a supply (which I will go ahead and do now)

This takes time and is continually improving, perhaps they were underprepared for it, I do not know, but they are improving and comparing them in a CBT designed to test them is very nonsensical

This is a CBT, this is about testing the game itself, and attracting those who would provide suggestions on the forum, not about getting a large playerbase yet, besides, these players do have lives you know, we aren’t playing this game 24/7.

Then why are they trying to reboot it?

AHEM
https://forum.enlisted.net/search?q=progression%20category:5
AT LEAST 20 threads that all have been ignored.

Yes, while they are improving, they are only doing so through the machine learning system. They only made one “avoid player” change but even that did not turn out to work. They have had 4 years by now.

Aka any player can play if they are interested and have 30$ to spare.

It certainly feels like the only ones that are left are exactly the guys that play 24/7

That search says very little, and no solution is actually agreed fully upon by the community so reworking isn’t exactly useful, plus we are very close to OBT now to have any such change implemented.

Errr, maybe because they want to improve the success further etc…?

And 50% of the playerbase hates the current system and mainly sticks around in the hope to see it changed.
