Yeah everyone knows about Type97 AT rifle than can do anything but there are other at rifles worth mentioning, we had stolen polish AT rifle from one of the events, it was quickly overlooked by most people and ignored, i haven’t seen anyone using it and yet it’s super effective against planes in Battle of Moscow campaign.
Wz. 35 has great velocity, 4 bullets in a mag with massive dmg against planes and good enough pen to pen and kill weaker soviet tanks (as long as it’s sub t-50 then you will be fine but t-28e can also get penned), rof is also damn good, recoil is one of the lowest so you can use it as a sniper rifle that nukes everyone in single hit.
Axis Moscow got so many options for AA counterplay and yet nobody except very few is using them to fight against planes it’s just sad. I would be disappointed in my community if i were one of the Enlisted devs. It’s probably the skill issue.
With the merge it may be new meta in low tier matches as long as you switch primary for something weaker and only held small pouches and no mines.
PS i feel like Sholokhov ATR would get some buff to the velocity and armor pen since it’s only 1 mag sized AT rifle with slow reload speed after every shot and huge recoil, at least it should get some strong pros instead only cons. There are no reason to use it over PTRS-41or even PTRD-41

try and pitch the t28 on a upwards facing and let loose the 3 mgs on planes, it fucks them up so much

Most at rifle are just trash with poor pen and rate of fire (except the semi auto ones) so most people didn’t even bother to bring them.
It is not an easy task to shoot down a plane with at rifle, you need practise and experience. Why would people waste time trying to shoot down planes with at rifle at the first place?
Because you can literally shoot off a wing and make the plane tumble into the ground before it fires its rockets or drops their bombs. Also AT Rifles can pen through multiple people with 1 shot so getting multi-kills it is frequent. And some tanks are killable (especially the lower level ones) and getting them now before the Merge let’s you practice with them. Those AT Rifles are going to go up against much easier softer targets.
There aren’t even planes in every match.
Whatever, this discussion is so pointless and annoying. You are not capable to shot down plane with AT rifles, we get it.
