In my case, my interest in the military started when I was 10 years old, when I joined a plastic model club with my friends and we built and colored a German anti-aircraft gun team.
Perhaps this is a little different situation in different countries, but in my home country it is very peculiar to be interested in the military, so in other words, my enjoyment of this game is the result of a lot of coincidences.
So what made you guys fall in love with the military?
I always had an obsession with military and I wanted to become an officer all my life.
Im not exactly sure when or how it started, my best guess that Star Wars was the cataclyst.
The mystery of why some children prefer the villainous Imperial troopers instead of the Jedi is very interesting.
because they’ve got cookies.
Plus, red glowy sticks are better

funnily enough, as it goes for me, war games are not… precisely my favorite games.
but they started to " grow on me " and history can be sort of fascinating.
enlisted is sort of good because it’s just casual so, you can slash things mindlessly.
certainly amusing and enteraining.
but, to be fair, i’m more interested in making mil sim tactical slow phased games for the thirill of it.
no reason why. just brain goes: if you can make it, do it.
i guess to appease that small % of players that wants HA and realism in a ww2 game.
one might say, i’m a woman of the people.
but don’t get twisted ideas of it
I like games overall
I am not a big fan of military. I like Enlisted because it is an RPG / FPS.
Like in other games there are fighters and warlocks, in Enlisted there are machine gunners and assaulters.
It all started when I got Men of War that came with the local gaming magazine, and let me tell you, for, IDR, 11-year-old me it was the best game I have ever played. This made me fall in love with WW2 games specifically. Since then, I have played many others, often better games, but the love for WW2 stayed and can still be seen on my library (WT, Il-2, HoI4, early CoD’s, Sniper Elite).
As a kid I watched quite a few historical drama series (3 exactly) so I guess that’s how I got interested in guns and swords.
Also my name means “joyous soldier” so I’m kind of obligated to like military stuff. Though I don’t plan my life/career in this direction, it’s pure hobby.
I also like economy/production games. But they lack pew pew in the long run.
Well, Im no child, but I grew up playing Star Wars battlefront 2 (2005) and watching clone wars so I don’t think the Empire would be evil, the rebellion on the other hand are a group of terrorists.

Started with a spitfire. My dad loved ww 2 planes and would make models of them (and any ww 2 plane) with me when i was a kid.
Eventually went into games from there. When warthunder showed up it was brilliant cos i could collect all the models digitally, but fly them aswell
Also as a farmers son i grew up shooting and hunting with ww 2 era weapons.
We owned one of these before gunlaws came in (and many others)
in my case I love old time period military games, I dislike games the more futuristic they get, they got to have something really interesting to impress me.
It all started with Battlefield 1942, Medal of Honour Allied Assault and the original Call of Duty.
Also my dad’s old war comics and matchbox army men I played a LOT with.

The first episode I watched was, I forgot specifically, but it was within the Prince Lee-Char story arc.
They once gave away Red Orchestra 2, and from there I fell in love of ww2 games
My father liked Rambo and many other action movies, he had a DVD of about 20 movies of people shooting xd.
Then I had my first computer and the first game I had was… Starcraft, then came Lord of the Rings, Dawn of War.
Basically if it was action and war I would probably play it xdd

I guess I am interested in war equipment and stuff cause my whole family are soldier of different branches (except marine and special forces) and star war since I watch it as a kid and still have DVD for the 6 movie
played MOH then COD A friend said try enlisted so I did 2 weeks ago not a patch on MOH or COD battlefield etc but the squad-based idea is good if it worked its shit it absolutely worthless game unless you hack n cheat 2 weeks of it I’m done lol u can keep it bot filed pile of shit
