That’s not what I have experienced. Basically any full auto had the suppression effect so noticable that the attacked one is in extreme disadvantage.
The only reason why it is somewhat not a problem in HLL, is because full autos are very limited there.
Yeah xD
That would only work if he sucked and didn’t kill you on the first try.
Not to mention you’d already have the suppression effect on yourself by this point.
The best case scenario, you’d still be able to fire back. So you’d both have the effect “of being drugged” on screen.
Really the definition of fun lol.
Everybody can have full auto weapon there.
But ppl choose not to.
And single fire weapons have basically 0 supprelssion.
Except only MG has meaningfull suppression.
So unless you get sniped instantly, you now counter the camper.
Also generally ppl shoot to kill you, except for MGs that try to suppress. So most of the time it’s about accuracy, not about blind fire like you describe.
Also note that we are talking about hll suppression. Something like bf suppression (that would probably be implemented here instead of hll one) is so minor that some ppl with enough experience can simply ignore it.
The number of times I suppressed the shit out of some pesky sniper just to earn a headshot from him, uncountable. And ppl still complain.
And before somebody suggests this: no, more accuracy instead of suppression is not the answer. Turning MG into a lazer beam will only increase camping with it.
I’ve mostly played bf4 and then some older ones (but thats quite a long time ago so I don’t remember too much lol). Plus I’ve more or less only played hardcore, since I hate it when you have to shoot someone for a few seconds to even kill them.
I’ve played bf1 and bf5 for like 3 hours total. 2042 I haven’t play at all.
Idk, from what i have understand it’s basically non existent in classic effective range. It seems extremely insignificant to me.
But I have really haven’t paid much intention to it.
But it is definitely not what I meant by suppression.
Btw. The guy was only bitching about it a then was happy dice made it somewhat less significant/impactful.
I don’t know how this can be a good argument for implementing suppression.
Most ppl freak out when they hear suppression and instead of trying to understand how it works, they simply throw arguments (more like random shit) based on their imagination instead of evidence.
Tldr
It can be made so that it works but is not annoying anti skill mechanic.
Maybe because it basically doesn’t exist and has no real impact.
It’s extremely debatable if you think this is working suppression xD
Doesn’t make any sense. I haven’t freak out about suppression mechanics in bf4 because I haven’t even noticed nor it has any significant impact on me. Just because they’ve called it “suppression mechanics”, it doesn’t mean its proper suppression, lmao.
Obv, they have made it only to lesser skill gap between players. Nolifer part of community cried so they nerfed it.
I really couldn’t care less if they’d implement such unnecessary feature. And it’s definitely not what I have meant by suppression. Since it has basically no real impact to gameplay.
It will be usefull as most of the time we shoot at groups of soldiers.
Edit: basically I shoot at my target to kill him and at the same time I suppress everybody around him so they can’t snipe me while I’m buissy shooting at my target.
(Assuming we will live long enough to see working bipods and maybe even MG weapon class overhaul.)
I don’t think we need existence of yet another rushed feature which at the time of release is already planned to be tweaked later. That’s a not good mindset.
I have no idea how it is supposed to relate to suppression or dispersion?
There is literally nothing really relevant to either?
You’re just barrel stuffing people (dispersion is irrelevant, you can do exactly the same in Enlisted now) who arent shooting back (no supression)
What am I missing?
You flanked a guy?
And that’s why I’m arguing about supression, because I know people will argue “it’s useless and should be fixed” until a single MG burst somehow gives everyone in 45 degree cone and 300 meters range instant blindness and late stage parkinsons. You just want to build an 131 inside of a building (let’s say the corridors outside hitler’s office) and be literally untouchable while also claiming this somehow won’t turn the game into a massive slog
