I never bought this gold it just showed up the very first day I opened the test server client. I am worried if I use it they will charge me money or something. I think I had 8,000 the other day and now I have 10,000? wth is going on?

maybe possibly, you were the one they chose to do a better job of testing, writing detailed test reports, checking every corner of the room without questioning and chastising them.
So they stripped the others of their gold and transferred it to you in the dev test server.
Because you are their favourite person.

well, Im not an expert in game testing but, at least in league, on the pbe server they gave you riot points so you cant test skins as well, I think it is a smart move this way you can also test premiums, and if you like them you can buy them on the main server, I wanted to test that bf 110 from normandy with the 30 mm cannon
dont forget that premiums can have bugs too
Honestly, I’ve not tried the test server as I’m afraid they’ll mess up accounts. I’ve had some bad experiences with cloud based game accounts being corrupted and don’t want to take the chance. I’m sure I’m paranoid but, damn. 6 campaigns, both axis and allies was a lot to grind out.

I do not know why you would find a random gold mine in the test server.
But as long as no such thing happens with your account on the regular live server, you should be safe from troubles or money charges.
Anyway, to stay safe, you should activate 2-steps authentication if you haven’t already.

thats already activated so no issue.
luckily its just the test server so since this isn’t getting carried over to the main server I’m not really going to be in trouble since it the gold use won’t be carried over.
Who cares? It’ll be gone in few hours anyway.

It’s just a copy from your main account(it’s probably creating when you firstly login on dev-server) so it’s not possible to mess your account in any way.

At first I thought they gave out gold so everyone could test out the new premiums on the server. I guess not, pretty confusing way of doing things

Inconsistency & randomness is pretty much how DF is doing things.
Just lookbar customization. Or changing weapon class of weapon that’s not even longer available while not changing Conders MG and LAD into actual MG class. I guess mediocre smg with 20 rounds is more significant 
There’s no logic behind theirs decisions. It’s just pure chaos.

Odd indeed - I have 1800 or so in the “real” game, 3300 in the test one!!
Amen to that, which is unfortunate. At this point I just think they’re having a laugh. They bring out the big brains when it comes to the physics of wind and leaves but will gladly allow tanks to submit to trees and lamp posts. I had a good laugh when they announced the LAD for assault, now it’s proto AKs and drop tanks. The water is pretty now but hit detection is still inconsistent lmao
I had no gold at all but when i logged in the test server i had 16.000 thats insane… For a second i thought it wasnt only on the test server though 
I think they meant if you buy gold with real money in the testing server, not what you bought with the gold ingame…

But they also said: you can use gold to buy gold teams on the dev server and they will appear on your official server.
So, thanks to DF, they funded you for free.
But unfortunately, a large number of players were exploited that they only 0 gold on the dev test server.I was one of them.
They don’t look like they’re ready to open their eyes and ears, so go ahead and spend to your heart’s content!
