Why do Flame-Troopers feel Untouchable?

First off am I inexperienced?, yes, am I writing this right after I got styled on by a good flame-trooper who was holding a flank in the final 50 on a Tunisia assault map. . . >:| yes. But I was somewhat astounded when I hip-fired with at least 3 rifleman and an assaulter just to get baked into a crispy steak without even getting a hit marker. some of you might say that I’m just really bad and died and am now whining about. So I am asking if anyone else has felt, and can explain why the flame-trooper practically melts your bullets and how to counter them (granted I haven’t gotten around to playing flame-trooper and am probably very ill informed about why they are so powerful but that’s why I am asking, also I know that they are probably this way because out in the open they are a HUGE target for snipers, which I am experienced in.)

You die before you’re able to shoot them and it blinds you

Vitality + vitality = Terminator. If it’s flametrooper II.

Flametroopers got a serious buff to damage a little while back to increase their effectiveness. Before it took a lot of focused flame to drop a trooper, and let’s face it, you get a face full of napalm you are not going to be shooting back.

Best defense is like Gasto said, just drop a grenade and hope it gets them.

Players who know how to use this troop class are hard to pin down and beat. You just need to , as cliche as it sounds, flank them or know how to identify them at range and engage.

If they get to CqC range its usually over for you.

good news is you wont run into many flame troopers. Bad news is if you do they will probably be very nasty players

I love the flame trooper XD

I like to roast these morons.
Making 20 Bratwurst kills just like that…

Ps. Distance and grenades is the answer. I love when another flamethrower guy appears an we blindly battle each other. Lol

Flametrooper got extra vitality and apart from this I think that more skilled players tend to use flame troops more often than begginers.

is that what the S key is for?

Get in there, cause death and distraction!
There are few maps where I run my flame guys first out of the gate.

Flametroopers are very useful now, however since you only get one single one in each squad I dont really like the concept of this unit. Even tho they are powerful, I would really like to see these units get 2 flamers instead, dying on the way to the fight is many times just too punishing for them to really shine, nevertheless… if they manage to get to a nice position, they can hold off a lot of enemies.

I run the 29th Infantry Division as one of my primary units… staffed with 2 flamethrowers!
