Why Did they make it easer to Kill tanks?

Seriously what’s the thinking on this one, making the marks for tanks last longer and be easier to set just makes killing tanks easer, and right now it is comically easy to kill tanks with a plane

because people used their tanks to shoot from grey zone making so only planes or tanks with better armor could kill them

But it is comically easy to kill them now, even Mortars can kill them, and that is hugely unrealistic.

But you make a good point, in that with all the totally fictional TNT bundle devices that can kill tanks in a second, tanks die all the time with a minute of spawning in if they get anywhere near the action.

So we have one bad design element forcing another into existence

Are you sure you’re playing Enlisted?

Ya, I can kill tanks very Easly with a Plane, and have been killed ton’s of times by planes dropping at point blank height, the SBD’s are very deadly, and it is easy to kill a marked tank with a mortar.

Ok so we have 120mm mortars added to the game. Cool.

It’s frustrating enough it gives me pause, a lot of time I will not even take my tank out, certain maps especially are not at all fun for tanks, that New Tunisia map for example is really bad.

I think this is why I also see tanks spawn in and the crew abandons it on the spawn point and they fight on foot, or players use it get close to action and then abandon it

In Tunisia I can kill Allied Tanks with the German 81 mm mortar with just a few rounds if techy are marked

I second this, I`ve never killed a tank with a mortar! I guess it might be possible if you do get a direct hit and the tank is already critically damaged.

The tank can literally kill any player on the map. They weaken the tanks, but the planes are still almost only vulnerable to themselves.
An invulnerable class that easily kills everything on the battlefield with impunity

It might be a thing only on Tunisa, I have done it several time now, if they are marked and you have a stable range, ie the tank is stationary a few round’s will do it

It may be it’s not by design, and I have only done with the German Mortar

I think the only real issue with tanks is, them sitting back in the grey area where the foot soldier can`t reach them. Personally I would only highlight them for longer. As for the Tunisian campaign, those tanks are a complete joke! It takes you forever to get to the objective, only to be blown up as soon as you do

What tank? Cruiser?

Personally I find that you can never get two mortars to land in exactly the same spot. Try it in the practice range, they land all over the place, never all in the same spot, even with the steadiest of hands.

I think this is a response to them being so easy to kill, most tankers seam to rush into the point and die almost soon as they arrive there, some of the more risk averse players stay back and wind up dueling with enemy tanks or getting killed by a plane

Ya all I can say is I have done several times now, killed Allied tanks with mortars on Tunisia, but I have supersized my Mortar squad

95% you can run and throw a detpack. If you are too lazy to do this, you must die. Only an idiot rides at point-blank range against infantry

What tank(s) are you destroying with your mortar squad? If those tanks are Shermans then you’re either hacking or report this as a bug.

A13’s and Damler’s I dont know that I killed a Sherman or Grant this way, in either case is ridiculous , even big Bore Arty in WW2 could not typically kill tanks.

And Bombs from planes needed to basically land right next to a Tank to kill it, I read where the number of bombs dropped were in the thousands per tank killed, of course in game it’s very easy to this

Those are light vehicles so it kinda makes sense. Big kinda.
