Those symbols are white cross on red background, the symbol copyrighted by the Red Cross is a red cross on white background.
just a side note:
It is not a war crime or prohibited to shoot paratroopers while descending by parachute.

I believe they have their reason for changes like this.
It would be appreciated if it was communicated tho. Stuff like that builds trust since ppl invest time and money in customization.
