Why are no MGs In BR1?

Was there ever an official reason for this situation?

I suppose it’s so players can focus on pure bolt action gameplay, i know br1 has smgs but they’re not that notable.

I have to disagree here. Beretta m38a, ppd 34, sten mk 2 and type 100 early are all decent guns and i even prefer them over some br 2 mgs. Certain br 2 mgs such as madsen and breda m30 should be put in br 1

There are such disgusting BR2 machine guns in the game that any BR1 SMG will be a hundred times better.

Too many cash-cow ‘Sweaties’ carving up new players. They can still do that with match-making forcing Tier 1 bolt action newbies against Tier 2 opponents but MG’s are rarer.

The Madsen certainly, but the Breda M30 is still good enough for BR2 imo.

Madsen at 25 rounds, maybe. Type 97 minus scope also fit at br1 Hotchkiss M1922/24/26 - Forgotten Weapons.
