Enlisted already have new models for AA guns in mode editor, they are different model and different specifications for different factions, and most importantly they do not have shield in front of gunner. If the developers do not produce bugs on the hitting box of them, the gunner can easily be killed by infantry from any direction, so engineer must build them in a location which is in cover between enemy infantry, and can only be used safely against plane. Otherwise the gunner will just become a focused and easy target from enemy infantry, and due to low firing rate, deviated crosshair at low elevation, lack of cover, need of reloading and limited aiming speed, it is not likely to be more effective than a machinegun nest against infantry. For being more effective against plane, the developers should consider give longer firing time before overheating.
Well everyone having tons of quad 20mm shielded German AA guns wasn’t accurate either.

really? every game there’s always some chucklefuck sat 200m behind the point on AAA waiting for people to spawn in a plane or bombers

because dopehead dick-in-sons were restricted to it use against infantry, they were so dicked that their two braincells couldnt realize it is supposed to be used against aircrafts primarily
AA engineer guns are easily taken out and could be limited like tanks. It was a big step back when they took the easy way out. Imagine them doing a flak 88 that couldn’t be turned on tanks.
Because they got nerfed to oblivion and now its dogshit.
