Kill corridors. The village invasion for example, you can, if you use czech hedgehog, block the trench and make it essentially impossible for AI to hit you (players can kill you tho) and just farm kills. I got like 30 kills with one squad there, all with a mosin). I did rest with Ba-11 and SMG.

well, this is actually strange. i play mostly germans because i’m a huge fan of ww2 german weapon, and i love their uniforms, but this is not the point.
anyway, i played couple of times as a russians, and their weapon feels a bit consistent. b-11 it’s more superior compared to the pz III. but whenever i play as a german, the losess rate it’s actually quite low.
it’s something that i don’t fully understand.
initially i thought, maps could be unbalanced, spawns, but nothing of that really matters. i do believe it’s the way players plays.
but maybe it’s just me.
It depends on players mostly. Kar98k is better than Mosin 1907 (I have no idea why that gun even exists in game, it’s aesthetically and functionally crap), but SMG and rest of stuff is simmilar. Weak points and tank systems are same as in War Thunder, which does give me a huge advantage when using Ba-11 since I know where to aim to get an ammo rack 99% of time and kill in one shell
SMGs are vastly different. German ones have lower rate of fire, but you can actually fire them in full auto from decent range. PPD is only good in select fire mode or when firing from the hip at very close range (preferably with a drum mag). MP-35 can be used almost like a rifle, at least with the way maps currently are (small and cramped).
Apparently it’s the opposite for the semi-auto rifles if stat cards are telling the truth, but I’m yet to experience the German counterpart. SVT-38 is far from being competitive at longer range and G-41 is supposed to kick even harder.
P.S. I do think map and objective design is not on Soviet side this time around. Or rather it isn’t on defender’s side (it was the same way in Berlin where Germany was defending). It’s relatively easy to cut off the reinforcements after taking the first point, which can create the snowball effect. Very difficult for defenders to com back when that happens.
When map objectives are symmetrical, though, it’s obviously down to players.
The Russian SMGs have higher DPS but are harder to use imo. The G41 is just straight up worse than the C96 pistol
I wrote in russian forum about no serious difference between semi-auto rifles and pistols. Everything I received from the players was “everything is fine and balanced, just git gud”. I hope english forum has different opinion about it.
Semi auto rifles should be between pistols and full rifles tbh
I mean they already are, they have the Damage of the pistols at close range but they retain that damage at a much better distance. That being said, the semi autos still need a buff, maybe keeping their max damage up to 100m (as opposed to the pistols who only keep their max damage at 5m)
the damage retention over range isnt worth anything as they are not accurate enough to shoot properly at range with.
