Which unit should I purchase?

I’m trying to focus on grinding Tunisia Allies before the matchmaking update and I was wondering if anyone who had both units could tell me, which premium unit I should purchase the Moroccan rifleman or the Matilda?

First of all. I would not recommend purchasing any units until you have some time in the game. Enlisted prices are steep for what you get. You should make sure you are interested in the game enough to invest into it.

As for the units. I do not actually have any experience with either, but if you are trying to grind campaign levels, you should get whatever one you feel you would get more points in. That or whatever one seems more fun to you.

Personally, I would go with the Moroccan riflemen. We do not know much about the new match making system and there is no telling how they will treat tanks in that system. For all we know, that tank may end up regularly fighting tanks it struggles against and may become useless. At least you know the riflemen will always have a fighting chance.

Edit: I just test drove the Matilda and I can not say I recommend it. The round has decent penetration for its campaign, but it seemed to have practically no explosive filler in it. I almost ran out of ammo shooting a pzer IV’s ammo rack before it finally exploded.

Edit2: I can not say I recommend the Moroccan squad that much either. While its nice that its a big squad. Its not really bringing anything new other than its fancy knife. The bolt action rifles they have feel no better than other bolt actions, and keep in mind you would be unable to switch those out.

I’ve been playing enlisted since Dec of 21 and started Tunisia about a month and a half ago so I’ve been playing for a decent amount of time, I’m just wondering which unit of the two I should purchase if I decide to purchase another Tunisia Premium (I already own the P-40).

Matilda is good option but only for the beginner.

She has the same cannon as A13 Mk II so it is difficult for her to eliminate better tanks like Panzer III or Panzer IV.
Sometimes even AB 41 or M14/41 can be a problem if you would not hit the enemy ammo.

Also - the tank is very slow, one of the slowest tanks in entire game.

What is good is a powerful machine gun (it is shredding the infantry) and good armor protection.

Matilda is good in the beginning, but M3 Grant and Sherman II are much better.

Sorry, I was just checking. Sometimes people buy things as soon as they join the game and regret it.

I am assuming you tried both squads out in the practice range? I edited my first post with my take on both. As someone who spends most of their time fighting in tanks. The matilda’s gun seems to lack punch.

The Moroccan squad seems a bit limited since every man can only bring a bolt action rifle, but at least bolt actions never stop being useful. They also start with backpacks. Which is nice.

Honestly, it sounds like the only decent premium in Tunisia Allies is the Owen squad, but I hate that gun in the Pacific so I’m gonna hate it in Tunisia too, I’m just waiting for the matching making update to come out so I can use my Austen event squad in Tunisia.

Are you sure its the Tunisia campaign you want to unlock before the new system comes around?

Keep in mind that the new system will very likely work like a tech tree. Where you unlock later, higher tech, weapons the further you go down the branch. The weapons in Tunisia are likely to be very early in that tech progression and should be relatively easy to unlock in the new system.

Maybe you should be focusing on a campaign with late war gear. Stuff that will be much harder to get once the new system rolls out.

Note I only play Allies and don’t plan on playing Axis currently. I’m at level 28 in the Pacific and level 21 in Normandy so I should be good when it comes to late war equipment for the US, as for the Soviets I have Berlin at level 28 and Moscow at level 17 and don’t play Stalingrad. When the new match making comes out I plan on sticking to lower tiers, so while I don’t plan on playing higher tier games I already have the equipment to do so if I want to.

Buy a premium squad

Dont feel scammed ? pay the price of a AAA game for nothing in fact

It sounds like you know what you are doing!

I am also planning to stick around the mid to lower tech tiers once the new match making rolls out. The only premium squad I bought is the Churchill and I have been absolutely loving that tank. I imagine it should be around mid tier in tech too, meaning I can avoid battles with high end weapons in it. Which is more my speed.

I agree they are all over priced, but I would not call what you get “nothing.” Some of the premium squads offer game play options you can not get elsewhere in Enlisted.

For me only MGs moscow squads and AS44 are useful the rest are useless cause you have allready better IG

Id only consider buying stuff that is useful. Most squads have better ingame squads.

Moroccans (although cool) is just another dime a dozen rifle squad. SMLE III is too good to care.

Matilda at least is heavy armour (but Id take sherman or grant)

None especially for Tunisia.

Word of advice don’t buy premiums unless you have some time in the game

None,

Get the flame and rádio squads

As I said in a previous comment I’ve been playing the game since Dec of 2021 and I’ve been playing Tunisia for a month and a half, so I have time in the game.

None, its extremely unclear what will happen to Premium Units when update goes live

IE any of the premiums u buy will end up very likely to be useless. Let say you are max level , and u have stuff like Panzer II premium, which is a low tier unit. why would u use ever use it again? and if u do gl have fun fighting jumbos and later tier US tanks, as well as IS-2 and T-34-85 later vs soviets when updateh its live

Maybe put it in low level set up or use the II to better farmCQC inf.
