Like with what logic USSR needs a gun to compete with T20 when USSR doesnt even fight T20 ?
USSR doesnt need a new gun, AVT-40 should get its 20 round magazine or Fedorov should get reclassified as a SF rifle and buffed to Type Hei Automatic rifle damage.
I have no problems if DF put the Federov into the “rifle category”.
However, I’ll bet with you: many users who play the german forces will cry massively and feel disadvantaged. Like the russians here and in the other post. 
It will just never end on each side. ^^

hmm, 6,5mm Arisaka does way less damage than AVT and FG42 and I dont see people revolting over the 30 round magazine of the Type Hei auto so I think it would be possible, Fedorov is definitely not an AR so changing it to SF would be logical.

NKVD Thompson. That thing is totally cracked.
AVT-40 should also get the realistic fire rate of 750rpm instead of the 600-660 in game. The AVS was even higher irl, at 800rpm which would be awesome. I would love to see those changes. Also, there was an AVT-40 variant that was modified to use Finnish L/S-26 mags which would be a cool premium/battle pass weapon

Yes. It was uncontrollable and the stocks would break frequently. But it’s already in the game so might as well make it realistic.
So… make it uncontrollable and have the stocks break frequently?

It’s already uncontrollable without recoil perks, it has even more recoil than the AVS. And if we’re adding stocks breaking, we need to add overheating for infantry weapons, reloading for machine gun emplacements, jams, barrel changes, mud and dirt affecting performance, etc.

AVT-40 could get a larger magazine for sure, but we could also see the trials Federov M1926 chambered in 7.62x54mmR, or even the AVD-30:
A new automatic rifle for soviets ehh ! I’m not opposed but you have to consider I want a new automatic rifle for Germany, too maybe MKB 42(G) or Automatic G43 other than that soviets could very well get a lot of thing though my favirote 2 picks would be AVS-33 and AKT 34 model 1 or 2
