When are we going to get a proper SPAA lineup?

We have two event SPAA vehicles and 2 US/Japan tech tree ones (granted low tier ones), but when are we going to get some tech tree SPAA up to BR5 and premium ones too?

Because itā€™s not like one armed halftrack is a ā€˜tankā€™ and the other one is APC. That would be stupid, wouldnā€™t it?

The ā€œtank slotā€ isnā€™t really a tank slot but more of combat vehicle slot because it groups various vehicle types, tanks, tank destroyers, self propelled artillery, etc. Should open topped tank destroyers or artillery not count in this slot because they are extremely vulnerable as opposed to tanks. Thatā€™s the point

Thatā€™s why I think its fine that the very least we have divided vehicles into ā€œriderā€ vehicles in that if its just a moving machine gun nest itā€™s not in this vehicle slot. We can all at least agree on that. Technically SPAA with machine guns donā€™t count as a rider vehicle because of their explicit role as opposed to a car that happens to be armed with an MG

That is why I think they should move the Sd.Kfz251/9 to the vehicle slot. We should keep our simple organization for now

why you want them when you have retards in your own fucking team who throw molotovs to your vehicle trying kill you because you are ā€œan idiot who is taking a tank slotā€, before do lineups, first move the SPAA to something similar to biker or put in same slot

The player who torches his own team is honestly a worse player than the player who happens to be in the SPAA. This is like when people attack mortars or snipers. Everyone does whatever job they can. Itā€™s a team

I donā€™t care what vehicle someone plays as and no matter what they do what they can to support the team. Play as whatever you want. SPAA fight planes as well as shred infantry

Id be happy for the AA vehicles to remain in the Tank slotā€¦

Agree, then it would make at least some sense.
But itā€™s too late for that because ppl will bitch about such change.

I keep hoping they add some sort of light vehicle category with itā€™s own spawn limit for things like SPAA/crap like flame tanks and armored cars

Although having 6/10 people be afk in vehicles could get a bit frustrating for people actually trying to touch grass capzones

I think I changed my opinion and actually think leading indicators as they are now are kinda scuffed, especially since the ground AA fires thermonuclear bombs apparently

I think it could be nice if the game was more agressive about hiding it like it does when your pilot starts blacking out, but also when the enemy is maneuvering hard, pretty far or fast

the only way to add , more vehicle at the same time to a map is to add more players
the only way to add more players is bigger maps
infantry are not just easy kills for vehicles unless they become fully game controlled
then it is not enlisted its war thunder
enlisted is a combined arms game adding another vehicle or two means doubling the number of squads (more infantry)

I think people should, for lack of a better word, deal with it for the greater good. Itā€™s just like the Gewehr 43 Kurz. Itā€™s better that it was overhauled historically. Did people complain that they lost their fantasy burst, yes, but it was a nice little sugar of immersion sprinkled on top to fix it

Obviously I like to hope one day the vehicle is moved. Like I said letā€™s keep it simple. Halftracks that were armed with anything bigger than a MG werenā€™t even used for transport in the first place. The M13 halftrack certainly canā€™t fit passengers

It is super scuffed and has been ā€œmechanicā€ wise for a long timeā€¦

Its taking along time for people to realise. If i or anyone else capable get in an AA, its way too easy and there is nothing a plane can do. Time to stop flying. Also 1500 meters is way too far for air combat.

Its becoming more and more frequent with the increase in player base. Have good duels in the air, when they lose too much they sit in AAā€¦at which point you have to stop flying because its no longer a duel, just one guy getting free frags on the other.

At somepoint the lead indicator will need to go, or have conditions to how it appears. Same for spotting vehicles. There was a time where the spot didnt stick to the vehicle. It should be reverted back to that.

Can you imaging if they added bomb drop indicators for planes

Yeah itā€™s a bit of a sadness when you smack down another plane ONCE and they immediately go onto a flak and shoot you at point blank range

I still think new players need some way to get the feel for where the boolits are going (I guess improve the tracers? Iā€™ve been checking and itā€™s kinda impossible to use tracers to aim in air combat as they simply disappear/become invisible against the sky way too soon)

I dunno, itā€™s a hard problem. On one hand, seeing a lead indicator for a plane that isnt even on your screen is stupid AF and shouldnā€™t be a thing (especially since it makes using speedbois a total nightmare)ā€¦but then, if it only appears for super easy shotsā€¦then whatā€™s the point? Might as well remove it outright anyway. But Iā€™m still worried about new players. I got to learn to play airplanes by accidentally pankaking a billion times and having my hand held with the lead indicator, until I got to the point where I probably would do fine without it
Would kinda hate for new players to never get the chance to even start
