Impossible to answer. I have too many favorites in all factions and high and low BR. Japan is not a high point but in every other faction I have too many favorites to choose from.

This makes me think of squads I love but have not used since merge (I’m not anti-merge).
Loved this squad in Moscow. Would like to see BR of the VMP reduced but will probably run it in high BR at some point anyway as it suits my style (but I have a warehouse of both Kiraly which play the same way… but better).

Soviet:
P40E squad and Berlin Assaulter squad
Japan:
Rifleman squad with Type 38 rifles

The sniper Mkb…don’t even know it existed
I found the Stg to have to much rate of fire for being a sniper( is good, but not perfect) feels like the mkb could be perfect 
Sniper Mkb has the same fire rate, 650 to be precise. The only significant difference is 3x scope instead of 4x.

My current favourites for axis br 5:
Assault engineers: 3x kurz, 1x mp 41r, 2x mondragon
Italian Radio Squad: Carcano CR x2, Carcano event semi-auto, FN 1930 & Carcano Sniper
Finnish Squad (new event apc). Suomi-26, 2x Lahti Saloranta & 1x Event Carcano.
My soviet & allied favourites are the 3 squads fully stacked with hero soldiers, lol.
