It doesnt seem to do any real damage after some recent patching. I was able to get kills with it regularly and recenly i land 6 penetrating hits and…nothing really happens. Maybe a kill or two on the crew. On perfect side hits or frontal pens, right into crew faces. Whats up with that?

Did you shoot from a close distance? Recently, anti-tank rockets have failed when fired from a close distance. My experience is that they appear when the ping is not good. I also checked with my friend. There’s a new bug that didn’t exist in the past.
It is not by the arming distance. The bug has a different length of failure depending on the speed of the rocket. Also, the distance I am talking about is 7~10 meters.
The bug I’m talking about doesn’t occur in the training zone. Does your PIAT work fine in the training zone?

If it works fine in the training zone and fails in the pvp ingame, it is probably because of the bug I mentioned.

I don’t even bother with AT weapons in close range since a single dynamite pack will one shot any tank in the game. Most of the hits are around 30-50m range.
The PIATs actually show the penetration and damage animation, it just…stopped being effective at actually killing the tanks for some reason
It was unreliable in real life, don’t expect it to magically nuke everything on the game.
If so, it is a PIAT penetration power problem.
The PIAT barely penetrates the side of the tiger. The effective target is Puma-pz4
Same problem with the grb39. The problem is post pen damage… somehow it’s nerfed, or bugged.
Even SOME tanks which used to nuke, now struggle to damage crew/components (post pen)
Meanwhile, the Fkak AA can now shred tanks, such as the t34, and even Berlin IS…

Its not a problem with pen, they clearly go through, just…fail to do anything important 90% of the time

Interestingly enough I’ve noted the same problem now with the Panzerfaust (both models) and the OBf 43 in terms of their arming distance.
The GBr39 also lost most of its post pen damage for some reason as well.
well when i said that PIAT needed post pen buff (when they buffed some other AT weapons), some people told me that i was noob and that PIAT is best weapon ever that can destroy panthers from front end.
so i guess you are all noobs 
It used to be good, thats why im surprised i literally cannot get a tank kill with it as of late
