What's the reasoning behind adding rubber piece to FG-42 II scope?

Every other ZF-4 scope don’t have the rubber piece but the one in FG-42 II have one.

the rubber eye piece around the scope, it blocks peripheral vision when ADSing the gun

Hm, dont know, all I noticed since the change is the smaller zoom.

To be fair, I play on super low FOV, so it effects me less I guess?

literally no one asked for rubber eye piece for the ZF-4, all they asked was proper 4x zoom. i suggest you stop putting words in people’s mouth.
