You dont’ get gunners, you do’t get training, you don’t get a bomb aimer… seems to be just a way to irtritate players to pay for squad updates?!

You can train multiple pilots in same battle.
None of the extras are geting any xp that I can see

well, i guess the AI will man the machine guns in the future
Can but hope - here’s my current crew for the SB2 - the 1st pilot got enough xp for 2 perks from their last mission - the 2nd (highlighted) is a brand new 4-star and has zero progress from that same mission

You can pick from multiple pilots in a match, so if you use aircraft frequently, you can just swap between crew.
That’s to only benefit at the moment.
yeah, for the moment, the real usefullness, it’s to select the pilot you need to have more xp while the co pilot gets assists.
that’s basically it.
one thing that i noticed, if he dies, the co pilot can take controll of the plane.
but the majority of the time, if the pilots dies it’s because the aircraft sustained heavy damage. but happened me once that my pilot got 1 tapped from a bot because i was flying at low attitude. and my co pilot changed sit. although, it was too late as i was aiming for a church.

ah - in which case having 7 pilots in the Il-2 might be realy useful…
